My name is Jane Knowles-Hall. I have just rediscovered this site. My husband and I have 5 children and 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I am retired. In my few moments of spare time I find myself researching family history. As I walk the many cemeteries, I take pictures of graves, some are members of my family others are not. I am so glad that I can share my finds with others.|
I have a blog on my genealogy finds. The address is: http://swingfromourtree.blogspot.com/
At the blog I post pictures, stories and obituaries. If you have someone in my area that you would like for me to look-up feel free to email me.
I also have a blog where I post old news that may be of interest to others and that have sometimes genealogical value. http://justsomeolenews.blogspot.com/
I have many family stories that have been shared with me about my lines. My family lines are Jones, Owens, Knowles, Nash, Painter, Hall,Prothero(e) and Edgerton, Keller, Breeden and many more. These are the primary ones I work on. I have others and my family gets together every couple years to visit and keep in touch. We have all shared in my tree at ancestry.com and my family in Wales and England help me with my research there... I spend many hours in libraries, courthouses and cemeteries across the country and in Europe.
Any individuals that I have created files for are usually directly related to me. If I do create one for someone not in my family tree I am glad to transfer along with any picture of the grave. I don't own those... they belong to their family. I am not in a contest to try and create the most or have more than what truely belongs to me.
I don't think its right for someone else to post several thousand obits and call them their find because they posted it first & then refuse to transfer it.
Feel free to use any photos I have posted.

Hello Jane, I am a descendant of the Knowles family. My branch (William Montgomery Knowles) went to Oklahoma and on to California. For some reason after W.M. Knowles died his wife our Grandma Knowles changed the spelling to Knoles. From the old pictures everyone says my mother and I look like the old Knoles family. I just started working on this branch of my tree so I do not have that much information about the family. I have always been attracted to this side of the family. It is great to meet a Knowles cousin who shares the same blood.

So this is Harriet's husband?
|Diane (Funkhouser) Hough||John Wells|
I just added a John Wells to the Wells Cemetery in Bone Gap, IL. Death date is Feb 12, 1884. Could this be Harriet's husband? If you have his actual birth date, you could confirm this. This stone was close to Harriet's in the cemetery.

I've suggested corrections for Alice Marie Young Gibson's record. I got this info from the office at Grandview Cemetery.

Could you be so kind as to send me the memorial numbers of her parents George Nash & Elizabeth Albright Nash? I want to be sure I make the right family links. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I would like any pics of Clayton you can send. He was my step dad. And as a WW2 Marine veteran of the Pacific theatre he deserves every remembrance given to him. I also have quite a few of him from 1972 when I first met him until he died. We need to trade via email if possible. My email address is posted on my Find A Grave home page.
