****Quick note to contributors/fellow Findagravers: I just started a new job and so I don't have as much free time to spend here...I will get to my emails to do updates/corrections/etc..as soon as I can so bear with me as I figure out how to balance my life right now...it's been a while since I've worked lol|
A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 14 going on 15 grandchildren! One more due this year :-) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie, and kitty cat Walter. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!
If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!
From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

Wellll, so nice to hear back from you! And are you related to the Galbreaths too?? Cousins!! I have sooovery many now!
I will start with what I have for Elijah G
born March 1836 in Indiana. Period.
One possibility was that died April 12,1885 in Woods County, Oklahoma but I have trouble accepting that one.
Elijah was one of Samuel and Amelia (Nelly) GalbrEth's many children.
Amelia's marker uses the 'No A' spelling.
I have their children as:
Robert Galbreth 1829-
Lydia Galbreth 1834-1917
Nathan Galbreth 1835-
Elijah Galbreath 1836-1885?
William Galbreth 1837-
SAMUEL ARTHUR GALBRETH 1839-1918
Joseph C Galbreath 1840-1861
Nancy Galbreath 1843-1862
Amelia Galbreth 1846-1928
Jesse Galbreth 1848-1897
Sarah E Galbreath 1949-1897
Samuel Arthur is my 2G grandfather, Amelia would be my 3G grandmother. Tears when I found your memorial!
Samuel Arthur's father was
(drum roll here) Samuel Galbreth!
Born 1791 (from census) in Pennsylvania.
On Ancestry almost every tree I have peeked at has this Samuel dead in 1847 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. That Samuel has a link to a son Charles...mine had no Charles. My Samuel also was still having children in 1949. I also found the 1870 Census that has Samuel and Amelia with William, Jesse and Sarah still living in Grant County, Indiana.
My name was Elaine GalbreAth, daughter of Charles Galbreath, son of Ralph Waldo Galbreath, son of Charles Delmar Galbreath, son of Samuel Arthur Galbreth.
Glad to meet you!
|Elaine Ackerman||Thank you Thank you|
I hope you have been able to find your 'balance point! We all wish we had one!
Thanks much for the time and effort you have put in to Find A Grave.
Finding Samuel and Amelia Galbreath has clearly made my day! When I have one of these emotional finds, it makes all that downloading time all worth while. I hope you have that same feeling.

I agree with you the date seems a little off.
I do not even know these people so I think another contributor may have put the link in through their memorial. Anyways thanks for the correction.
You are such a dear to have photographed the three other O'Neel headstones of William Morton O'Neel, Salathiel O'Neel and Hattie O'Neel in addition to my one photo request! How nice of you to do that! It has been a great help to me. Thank you once again.
|Dawn-Marie Richey||The beautiful picture!|
Thank you for posting the picture of my mothers grave site I no longer leave in Indiana and never got to see the gravesite or her headstone. Not sure if you are the one that left the flowers but I will thank you for it anyways. Thank you again for the picture. Thank you for putting your time into taking pictures of my mothers headstone. I am very grateful to you.
Thank you Colleen so very much for the transfers. I am so sorry about the mix up and thank you so much for adding your photos to the sites. I have been looking for these forever.
Have a great and safe Thanksgiving! I am sure all the families are very thankful for all you do on findagrave, I know I am. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you for the nice pictures you put on his memorial page. I have corrected his maternal information. Thank you for letting me know.
