Bio

With much of my immediate family growing in and around the Washington D.C area for generations, I was never overly curious about family history. After a friend who was more interested than I found photos of relatives gravesites in other states who were born during the time of Andrew Jackson I was amazed. Even a marker for my grandmother's unnamed infant son which I had seen in home movies had been photographed by someone.
I am most familiar with DC area's, Holy Rood, Mt. Olivet, Arlington Cemetery, Oak Hill and Cedar Hill Cemetery on Pennsylvania Avenue. I have taken many photos for my own enjoyment and for friends over the years, but realize others are often not so near.

Note also, feel free adding a photo to any of my memorials, as different time of day, light and opportunity may aid in clarity and appreciation to a loved one or researcher. The older photos on this site do not allow you to zoom in, plus digital cameras are much improved since the early 2000's.
