Manuel Frank Martin
He is buried in the Vandalia Cemetery. No matter what the cemetery office says. They also tell me there was another cemetery book that may have gotten burned in the fire that was on the ground near where the present office is. I wonder, if that is correct, how many others would not show up in their records. Why is Manuel Martin the only one missing. Anyway, since there is a D.C. and Obit showing him there (Vandalia) my question to you. Did you ever walk the old part of the cemetery, just in case he did have a headstone? Linda

I had already put his headstone photo on Find A Grave before you had requested. Sorry. Linda

RE: Phleps in Vandalia
Joanne - Ida (Phelps) McCullochs's Mother's surname is Robertson, not Robinson as several records I've seen have shown. Our family has always known Orville Burt Pelps to be his real name, but I now suspect Burt is a nickname shortened from Benedict? Thanks for the cemetery district & monument works numbers. We'll look into getting her a marker. It is getting late so thanks again and good night - M. W.

Hi Joanne,
Thanks again for some marker photos. I've been going through the Lewis family and found that Emma Jane Lewis married William Traeger. I've gone through the Traegers buried in Porterville Cemetery and added a few and requested marker photos for those I've added.
You may do them if/when you get some time (if you wish).

Joanne - I send you my most heartfelt thanks for the recent photos you provided for me. They are wonderful and close a large hole in my research to prove what happened to Esther. She is my wife's Great-great-grandmother; now we will have to see about getting a marker set for her; so sad! I'm a novice at this type of research, but I want you to know I've sponsored her memorial to remove the adds, and will do so in all instances where they are still active and I make a request. For people who are truly interested in family history, you're work is inimitable. May health and happiness be with you on your life's journey - Lt. M. Vahman
