|Duane Kleven||John Martin Dahl|
Thank you for the transfer of John Martin Dahl Memorial #133124958.
|Gathering Roots||James Holland Orndorff Duplicates|
Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,
Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,Rockingham Va,Hardy WV and surrounding area.
A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we noted were missing.
Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge process.
Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate memorials.
E49 Created above Statement
If anyone gets Find A Grave to transfer memorials cared for by ProjectMgr Just a heads up I dont delete any connected to ProjectMgr.I worked hard to replace all the memorials that had been deleted.Find A Grave choice to re-upload the Old Deleted memorials And we work free on this site.So if anyone wants our memorials Have Find A Grave Merge them or if you dont have a problem merging then more power to you.
I do want to thank anyone that has helped with my duplicants created after the major upload of old memorials formerly deleted.I really appreciate the help

He is in my tree and I looked at the date on the tombstone as I have his birth year as 1850 and it clearly is May 1850 on the tombstone and not 1860 as you have entered. Maybe it was a typo, but it needs to be fixed as it gives the wrong birthdate.

Actually you do have a copy of the edit you sent me. :) Just go to the edits tab on your profile page; do you see the drop down arrow? All the edits you requested are there.

Thank you for your suggested edit of the memorial above. Would you please provide the source(s) of your information?
I appreciate your help keeping Find A Grave an accurate and valuable genealogical tool!
|Charlie Ann Weaver||RE: Harriet Baird Holland|
You know I saw that one too, but she had been married a LONG time before that. Let me do some checking and get back to you.
|Charlie Ann Weaver||Catherine Kleiber Baird (109317912)|
Her date of death was 18 Feb 1849 in Baltimore City. Her is her obit:
Suddenly, on Sunday morning, the 18th instant, Mrs. Catharine Baird, in her 70th year.
The friends of the family are requested to attend the funeral from her late residence, Lombard, near Caroline street, without further notice, this (Monday) evening.
(This was in the Sun Newspaper on 19 Feb 1849 in Baltimore City, MD)
[this puts her birthdate about 1779]
|Charlie Ann Weaver||Harriet Baird Holland|
I have looked everywhere and I can't find a last name of Linville for her. Where did you find this record? I have that she was the daughter of Matthew and Catherine Kleiber Baird. Just trying to clear up some facts for my tree.
|Mimi Ringstad||George Paddy|
The obit for George Paddy can be found at: The Sun (1837-1991) [Baltimore, Md] 26 Nov 1964: 40. He died November 24, 1964. His wife and son are buried at New Cathedral. They were victims of a fire: 2 Die in Fire, 3 Fall on Man Aiding Rescue

Ethel was my grandmother. Are you and I relatives? Leah Bokinsky
