We have a stone picture finally! I knew he was there, it is hard to read, but it is him. Just thought you would like to know.

The woman in the picture is: Mary Ann West 3rd wife of John M. Clark, my 2nd great grandparents. Photo and family bible owned by my 1st cousin, Kay Nelms Sisco.

I was just researching SWICK in NY when I happened to see this Elizabeth Swick. To my knowledge, she is no relation at all to me. Thanks for making the change :)
My research focus is on trying to find out more about William R. Swick (b. est. 1827; m. Catherine Henry) and Peter Swick (b. est. 1819), both showing on early Sparta, Livingston County NY censuses. Are they brothers/cousins, etc. Who were their parents.
Possible parents might be a John Swick and an Anna Brown (or possibly a woman named Mercy). There are so many John Swicks that I have not been able to pin down a specific one yet.
Both families eventually went to Michigan--William in the 1850's, Peter much later on. Wm. died in the Civil War and is buried at Chalmette Cemetery in Louisiana; Peter died in Eckford, Calhoun County, MI in 1901 and is buried there, next to his 2nd wife, Mary Elizabeth Traxler (also from Liv. County NY). Peter's first wife was Magelene Y. (prob. Young; buried in Clark Cemetery, Liv. County NY ) who died around 1871. Peter remarried and relocated to Michigan after 1871.

Glad to do it. Did you see Mom's and Dad's, too? I believe there's links to theirs too.
