I am related to many of the early settlers of East Tennessee. I am always interested in working with other researchers who study what I prefer to call the river families of the Nolichucky, French Broad and Pigeon Rivers. I have studied the families of this area for 30 years. Information on these early settlers is what I desire.|
If I have added memorials for people I am not related to it was protect the information. I will happily transfer any of those people to a relative or suitable caretaker. If you want to add relationship links, I would prefer to transfer the memorial to you. I believe family & friends should care for each other. I am here to share and preserve information not to manage memorials.
If I have posted a photo of your direct ancestor, I will be happy to provide you with a full digital version. I will also explain how the photo came into my possession. I have collected photos from the early families of the Nolichucky and French Broad River area for 30+ years. I was given them for protection and sharing. The images belong to family members.

|Sandi ||GH Toby|
I'm interested in the Toby and Corn families. Some are buried in the Ebenezer Cemetery and I just now found the reference to Oven Creek. I'm particularly interested in a connection to Susan Angeline Toby Corn-who married Tolliver J. Corn.
Any information is appreciated. (I also sent an email.)

Dale, I was visited Ruth "Long" Gorman's memorial when I saw you have posted some of her children's
memorial pages. She was my gr.gr. grandfather, Maples Long's youngest sister. He and his family stayed w/Ruth and David during the Civil War for sometime after they left their home in Arkansas.
I would love to exchange information and learn more about Ruth and David's family. I also have researched for many years and love to learn about all of my family's history. Ruth was raised in Sevier Co., Tennessee. When possible, would you please contact me. Thank you and have a pleasant evening.

Do you know what the date of death is on Matilda's stone? It appears to be Mar 1920, but is covered by leaves in the picture. Please advise. Matilda was my Great Great Great Grand Mother and her daughter was Maggie Lewis (my Great Great Grandmother). She had a son James A Lane.

|Susan Boyett||William H Rines|
Hello, I am doing research and am trying to locate the resting place of William H Rines
DOB 16 Feb 1897 DOD 27 Sept 1989
He was the stepson of my great great grandfather.
I have information that William H Rines passed away in White Pines, TN. I believe that some of his family is buried here as well.
He is not listed for White Pines Cemetery. I thought I might try to call the church that is located on the cemetery. However, I have not found a phone number. If you have this number I would appreciate you sending it to me. Or if you know how to locate the burial ledger would you kindly look for William H Rines to see if he is indeed buried here. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
