I would like to have my Aunt Pearl's memorial transferred to me if possible. Her number is 37913803. I am very new to this site. Thank you.

|Michael McCoy||Bowers name....|
I submitted a name change for Coy Catherine Bowers to Coy Collins Bowers (a male) who is buried in Hopewell Memorial Gardens (#42213479). Dates are correct....
I then submitted a maiden name (Frasier) to be added to Ida Elizabeth Bowers(#42213480). Dates are again correct...
I then asked that the two memorials be connected... #42213480 to #42213479.. They were married in 1926.
I hope this meets your approval. I am doing some genealogical work for descendants of this family grouping...

Donna, thank you for your reply. I would be interested in knowing the location of my great grandparents (William A. Smith and Blanchie Ecker). I have always been told that they are buried in the plots next to my Uncle Richard Smith and Aunt Eva Ecker, but when I visited the cemetery a couple years ago it was unmarked.

Thank you Donna......that's a great start. If you'd like I can add you to our email list (just send me a good email address). The Scenic Sumter Heritage Byway (the group that i'm assisting) is a local advocacy group for South Sumter history and heritage.

Just general information of the cemetery. I think i understand where the name came from. Is there a person/group that maintains the cemetery. I saw from one of the cemetery posts that the property was originally donated by the Pemberton family.
It's a very interesting name and location. It seems nicely kept also.

Donna, You have Annette B Lane 50354372 as a daughter of Roderick and Louisa Lane when in fact it is George T.Lane 50354366 that is their son. Please try to find time to make changes. George was my first husbands uncle.

I think this is my grand fathers sister. My Aunts
said that they remember her living somewhere around Bradenton, Florida. Are you kin to her.
Her mothers name was Manvera Merritt and fathers name Green C. Whittington from Crawford County, Knoxville, Georgia. My grand dads name was Winder Jefferson Whittington he was the baby of the family. Trying to find some of her kids or grand kids. Thanks so much!
