I am an automobile racing historian specializing in the history of that sport in Kansas although I've also dabbled in genealogy for more than 30 years. I am also interested in the history of Cowley County, Kansas and its people.|

|Ray Vick||Ida Rhoades Killian|
I am questioning the 1910 census showing her with daughters Anna age 5 and Ora age 3, also with son Harvy (sic) age 15, all surnamed Cluster.
I suspect Anna and Ora were not her daughters or the daughter of Michael Cluster. I suspect they are adopted from William Elmer and Cora Taylor; but am quite confused about how that might have happened.
I know Harvey was a Killen not a Cluster.
After Ida's death Michael married widow Lillian Virginia Taylor nee Powell who was married to Michael by 1915 and by 1920 is shown living with Anna and Ora (Cluster?) and Virgnia's step-son Earl Taylor in Center, Woodson, KS where Virginia had lived with her first husband Jacob Andrew Taylor until his death in 1913. What was Michael Cluster's connection to Center, Woodson, KS?

|Paula Walsh||Baltimore Cemetery|
Hi Bob, I am from Farmer City, IL and recently visited Baltimore Cemetery in Cowley Co. KS. I was specifically looking for the headstone of China Baldwin, of which I see you added a photo to her memorial on Find A Grave. I was very disappointed to find that none of the stones remained and had been replaced by concrete stones with numbers, no names. Would you by chance know what happened to the original stones? I'm really interest in finding if they are being preserved somewhere or if they were destroyed. Thank you for any help!!

You are welcome. Checked again when we went to pick up our flowers after Memorial Day. Don't know how I missed it the first time, but was glad I finally found it.

I was unable to find the tombstone for Frank & Katrina Baldauf. Will try and get in touch with the cemetery to see if there is a stone.

|Fausset-Fasullo||James Sherrick obit|
Hi Bob, I found this obituary, dated Dec. 17, 1954. and was hoping that you might want to add that information into your memorial for him. My grandmother was related to the Kirk's and Sherrick's.
James Sherrick, 69, died Tuesday in Dodge City. He was born in Missouri and had lived in Eureka, CA for the past few months. Before his retirement he was a blacksmith. Besides his son he is survived by his wife, Myrtle, two daughters, Mrs. James English of Fresno, Mrs. Virginia Bagley of Illinois, a brother, Andy Sherrick of Eureka and several brothers and sisters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held today in Dodge City.
