RE: Myers-Cook Cemetery
Excellent suggestion regarding contacting Michael Denis directly. I found him on Facebook associated with the Boyle County genealogical society for which you provided a web address, and also left him an email message. I'd really like to find this cemetery, as the Myers of "Myers-Cook" are family relation.
Thanks again,
Ruth Ellen Bartels

Myers-Cook Cemetery
I see that you have added several memorials for the Myers-Cook Cemetery in Boyle County, Kentucky. Do you know how to find it? The description, even allowing for the error that it's not US 50 but US 150, did not allow me to find it. I found Chrisman Road, and I found the Willow Grove Baptist Church (Chapel), but no where could I see a cemetery in this region on Google maps. I want to visit it next month--Lucy Gilmour is in my family tree (she married David Myers Jr).

Captain Alexander

My ancestor was with the 12th Ohio Cavalry when Captain Alexander was killed. I found information in Jonathan Songers obituary that George L Andrews was on picket duty with Songer when the attack happened. Songer was wounded in the knee. In 1871, Songer's wound reopened, and lockjaw set in. Above is a link to the story .

finding Private Tom Richards
thank you so much for adding my husband's great grandfather to the database. He was a private in the confederacy during the civil war. All the Family knew was that he was off fighting and never came back. At least his young daughter, Lizzy, (Private Richards only child), who lived to be in her 90's repeated this story to all her descendants as to how she remembered the day all the soldiers came home from the war--to their neighborhood, and he was not with them and she stood there along side he road and cried not knowing what happened to him. If her family ever knew what happened to Pvt. Richards, they never told Lizzie.

Julie, Thank you so much for recording this cemetery with photos and information! I'm related to many of the folks there, so I'm extremely grateful to you for taking the time and interest in this cemetery.
