If there is a memorial I have added for someone you would like transferred to you, please just let me know, as long as they are not a relative or close friend of mine. I love being able to help honor those that have passed on before us! If you find a photo that you would like to have that I have posted for a loved one you are more than welcome to copy them yourselves.|
I spend a lot of time walking the cemeteries and getting information and photos for the memorials, but my purpose is not to have "ownership" of them, but to make as many available for family, loved ones and genealogy researchers that I can.
I would like to especially thank Charlotte Stevens Schneider, without her help I would not be able to complete alot of the memorials I have done. She has been diligent in finding obituaries and dates for so many of the memorials we have worked on!
I am so sad to say that Charlotte passed away on February 11, 2011. She will be so missed by all that knew and loved her! Charlotte is now rejoicing in the presence of our Lord!

Thanks for your research and contributions.
RE: on the memorials for Faranton Furr (# 27380048) and spouse Catherine Furr (# 27379924), there is an incorrect statement - the Malinda Catherine Furr married to William Eben Furr was the sister of Faranton Furr (she was also Catherine's cousin, not her sister) - Catherine's parents were John Furr, Esq. and Beneeta Burris; Malinda and Faranton's parents were Paul S Furr, Sr. and Sara Mae Harward

Hello Searching the Past, You wrote me a note about: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=39075580
When I went to 'your' page, I saw that you had a page called BAHS... WELL, I could hardly believe it.. I just HAD to KNOW that it meant Broken Arrow High School... as in the town of Broken Arrow, OK... That is where my husband and I basically raised our children (with the exception of 4 years spent in KC Ks)... I was co-founder of the BA Genealogy Society in 1977 and served as president for the first year. My husband had two sisters and a brother who lived in BA before we did and we moved there because of them in Sept 1970.. My two sons graduated 1980, daughter 1982 and the last daughter didn't finish school. I worked for 8 years at Arrow Flowers & Gifts there in BA. Would like to know more about who you are, etc. Still have friends there, although we haven't kept in touch very much. I currently live in Inola, OK. Hoping that you will answer, I am.. Eddene Hightower Thompson...
Thank you for your effort in trying to get his picture. Bless you for taking the time to do this. Ann

Sorry, I had sent the message before I was through.
Anyhow Find A Grave Memorial# 28669257 is my wife's grandmother. I suspect there is a birth and death date on the stone. We have:
26 Jun 1904 in Atkins, Pope, Arkansas
6 Sep 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
(but removed back home in Muskogee)
But don't put the birth and death on this until we can get better verification. two sets of records we have has 2 different dates. I picture of the tombstone might help.
She should be buried close to her husband Lee Roy Lenon who died in Calif in 1952 or her parents, Florence E and James F. Furr. We are 90% sure her husband is buried in Calif, however.
Thanks for your help. Randy and Peg.
PS: We think there is another mis-spelling as her middle name is MAE and not MAY. thanks again Randy

I THANK YOU so much for trying to find my great-aunt's grave; AND for the flowers. What a thoughtful, generous soul you have. Thanks for letting me know who she is buried between; if I'm ever able to get there at least I will know where to visit. Deb

YES, I am Ramona June Dykes (Bordenkircher)'s younger brother. We live in Waxahachie, TX.
As you know, Gene was killed in an auto accident near Broken Arrow. He is interred in the Enid Oklahoma MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY, next to his Dad
(my older brother).
Gene is on Find A Grave
Duane Gene Dykes Jr
b 14 OCT 1957 in Fort Morgan, CO
d 09 JUL 1974 in Broken Arrow, OK
Gene is survived by an older brother
Larry Stephen Dykes of Tulsa, and an older sister
Sandra Leann Dykes of Tulsa.
Thank you for remembering Gene on your class site memorial. He was a great little guy and we miss him AND his Dad. FYI, Gene's Dad passed over on
12 JUN 1987 from heart failure.
I apologize for taking so long to respond, but I have not been on Find-A-Grave in a while. Your message came to my email account, and we have been MOVING into a downsized home......thank goodness.
Please send me a message if you need any additional information on Gene.

Donna, I see you have taken some pics at ESH in Vanita Ok. Are you able to get in the grounds for pictures? If you are do you know if there is a marker for Nancy Bell Pullen? If not, and you are able to access the grounds, is it possible for you to take a picture if there is one of her grave? Thanks for your contributions. Without people like you we would not be able to get any of this info or pictures!
