TO SOME OF THE RESEARCHERS: I am very disturbed in what I have been seeing here at findagrave. Some of you, I feel, are getting your records from either the Library or someplace else rather than going out into the field and seeing the headstones personally...whichever the case you need to be ABSOLUTELY SURE!! that these records are correct that you are submitting. Puting incorrect information can make it VERY HARD for those out there looking for their loved ones. If the dates you are submitting is WRONG then how is anyone going to find whom they are looking for? When looking for a name and finding a match, then looking at the dates for that person and that doesn't, by the family members records, then they are apt to think they have the wrong person and go on, when indeed it is the person whom they are trying to locate.|
You see, it's all in the correct information that we all give that can give so much help to those of us trying to put our family history together. One wrong spelling or date and it makes it soooooooo hard to find someone. If you can't do the field work, and that I mean get out to the cemeteries and actually look at the headstone yourself, then DO NOT be a volunteer researcher. It is easy to sit at a desk and go through books and files at the Library and submit those findings online, but be sure and ask yourself if these records are FACT before taking that step to upload them.
Come on people, lets make this easy.....we are here to help, not to discourage and frustrate. Also, if there are full dates on the headstone(month, day and year) of birth and death, then submit the entire dates not just the year, please.
Thank you for listening.

I submitted a few additions to the memorial for Dr. T. T. Parker at the
Fairview cemetery and hoped you would post them. Would you consider turning over the management of the memorial to me and I would be happy to put the corrections in?
I appreciate all your work and time and want to help where I can.

Are you still with us? I notified you of corrections & links a long time ago (2010) & they haven't been done yet. For example this one's not a child: 10446238.
Also I see pics you've posted that are so tiny you can barely read them. The main reason people request them is so they can read name spellings & dates.

I sent an e-mail to request this but it was returned as a address no longer current???
I was trying to link #18499749 Milton Butler to his father #11439965 H Milton Butler and his mother
#11508185 L. Alice Butler. Would you mind doing this?
|Shel||I so agree with your statement...|
I have had to notify so many people of the dates/incorrect spelling of loved ones. Going to the tombstone / death records is the only way. The books have so many typos and it could be discouraging .. always check every spelling possible in trying to locate for your records. I've spent more time notifying people than should ever have to be done. Thanks for the way you put it.. very matter of fact and to the point! Much appreciated!

You have posted photos of some of my family and I want to thank you for that. It is nice to see where they are buried.

This is my maternal great great grandfather. His name was John Charles Barr. He was married to Matilda Root-Barr-Jackson. The middle initial on his headstone is the letter "C" not "G". Their daughter Emma Barr, my maternal great grandmother, is Memorial #60817407. Emma Barr's husband, my great grandfather, Mitchell Wadsworth, Jr. is Memorial #34571753. Emma Barr-Wadsworth and Mitchell Wadsworth's daughter, my grandmother is Mary Josephine "Mary Jo" Wadsworth Memorial #67248208. Mary Wadsworth's daughter is my mother, Anna Josephine Mary Brown McAlpine-Bissonnette "Anna Jo" Memorial #63355370 and Mary's 1st husband, the "Indian Way," was Samuel Wayne Brown, Sr. Memorial #67249281 and her 2nd husband was Martin Joseph McAlpine, Memorial #67252933.
