Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.

If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) transferred just let me know. If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.

Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.

This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.

RE: Mary C. Lawrence
Hi Denise, Thank you for bringing the correction to my attention. I added the photo to the correct Mary's site even though here was one already there. The one I sent was clearer, larger, and showed the epitaph. It's a beautiful cemetery with many lovely stones. It was fun to photograph, though I don't know Mary.

Best wishes, Barbara

How do you know he was in the Navy and not the Army?

Samuel Varnum
Thank you Denise for checking that so quickly.I knew that didn't sound just right. I'm a stickler for getting the details right, especially when you are doing research for someone else.
Thanks again, Happy Thanksgiving

Samuel Varnum
HI DENISE, Samuel Varnum memorial 20214321. I have a couple questions about what you wrote. In the second paragraph shouldn't it say Samuel emigrated from Lilbourne Parish, not George. Also, I am confused about the line that George and Samuel were killed by Indians in 1676 but Samuel's death is listed as 1698. He had 2 more children after 1676. I have been working on the Varnum Family for a Varnum decendant and I just want to get my facts right. Am I confusing the generations?
I know it's been years since you posted the information. Thanks for any help you can give.
Margot Cole.

"Miss" Mehetabel Nourse
Hi, Denise. In your latest edits I see you are requesting removing "Miss" from several memorials. This is how the names appeared in my source: Gravestone Records From The Old Yard Ashby Massachusetts, Copied and arranged 1937 by Richard Jaquith Fowle of Thetford, Vermont. It was probably on the tombstones, such as on Miss Submit Walker's stone. Since "Miss" is not in the prefix menu on Find A Grave, it can't be added in the way I did and still be able to search for the person (as I just discovered). I'm accepting your changes, but I might make a request with Find A Grave to add "Miss" to the prefix menu.

Thanks for all the updates!

RE: Halls etc in Arlington
I viewed the transcribed vital records to compile the bios in the first place (as I thought I made clear in the bios that I compiled and posted, but from your response it seems I did not). I wish there weren't so many sunken, broken, and missing stones at Arlington Old Burying Ground. It makes it very hard to know if you've found the correct person in the transcribed vital records if the dates are unreadable or un-see-able on the stone itself, since "C.R." just means that the transcribers belatedly read the info from a stone in the cemetery.

Halls etc in Arlington
Hi Denise,
Thanks for all the edit suggestions. Where did you find the information that you suggested for relationships, maiden names, etc. - are you researching the families in question? With common surnames I wasn't able to get far in researching them myself (I was only researching them because I had photographed their gravestones).

Thanks again,
