Bio and Links
Bio Photo As we reach the height of summer, the hot days of August bid us to seek rest and retreat in cool, shady places. Here is a poem from one of my Mom's books that provide pleasant thoughts on our need for rest and renewal:

The Sweetness of Doing Nothing

However you earn your daily bread;
Whatever you may do,
You need some time to just relax
And let your soul renew.

The sweetness of doing nothing
Has become a lost art,
For sometimes we’re just too busy,
With affairs of the heart.

Pure rest and relaxation
Rejuvenate the soul
And allow the broken pieces
To mend and become whole.
He who finds his Walden Pond
Finds peace and paradise,
A secret place to call your own
and rest your weary eyes.

If there were no vacations,
How burned out we would be.
So God filled the world with wonders
For sojourners to see.

When you take time to be holy,
It’s certain you will find
The sweetness of doing nothing
Will give you peace of mind!

Special thanks go to all visitors who have tokened my Mom's memorial and those of her birds. The Cardinal (Red Bird) has special meaning to me. In my Mom's journals, which I found after her passing, she attempted to create fairy stories in which a Red Bird would appear at mysterious ways and times to help maidens in distress. Thanks to all who took the time to note that and leave these special tokens at her memorial.

REGARDING PHOTOS: Please remember that I am the copyright holder for the photos of my Mom and Dad, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents and Paternal Aunt, as well as Baby Gerald. If you copy these photos to your family tree I request a link back to the memorial and credit as noted at the memorial. This is all I am requesting.

For photos belonging to other FindAGrave members please check their Memorial Manager page for their position on usage of photos.

Any photos that have been provided by the Kennedy family members must also be credited. Failure to properly acknowledge the source of the photos will result in my notifying the family members.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT FOR THE JEWISH RELATIVES IN MY LINE the Menorah, Star of David, or photos of pebbles are the traditional expressions of a visit to the beloved departed's resting place. A candle can also be used. I appreciate all previously left tokens but recently I have been advised to request what is appropriate for this faith.

In all matters of kinship: If we are related in anyway, then contact me by email and provide a link at Ancestry or some details about your family line, or perhaps your memorials here at FindAGrave.

Transfer Requests: You must follow the established FindAGrave procedure and request transfer using the Send A Correction feature. Again do not use the Public Message board for this purpose. I do not transfer my relatives unless you are closer in kinship than I am. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to meand am willing to do so outside of guidelines provided your request shows a sincere desire to take over Stewardship of the memorial. Please supply enough details to help me make such a decision.

PURPOSE OF THE MESSAGE BOARD: I use the Message Board strictly for messages between members and to exchange greetings. Please do not make flowering requests here, especially repeat ones.

PURPOSE OF THE MOURNING, GRIEF AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FORUM: This is the best place to request tokens for your beloved departed. Be sure to include the link when you make a request there.

RE: I figured out what is going on
It is rarely separated headstones. At least in Calvary, if the family buy 2 or more adjacent graves, it is customary to have only one headstone. The engraving of all the names on the headstone is the family's responsibility. My good guess is that not all names have been written on the headstone. Only Calvary office can tell you who are buried in graves 13, 14, 15 and 16, whether all the names are on the stone or not.

RE: Happy Belated Birthday Greetings
Thank you for always thinking of me. I'm recovering from a major house's taken weeks to stabilize and replace things. I pray all is well.

Happy Fourth
Dear Emily,
Gannon and I hope that you have had a nice holiday...I am visiting your pages right now, and am sorry I don't personalize my tokens much anymore, but I can't see to do all that typing... =( Know my prayers and blessings are sincere, though, and I have a thought for you - on one of the pages I just visited, a baby, you can't make out the full cause of death. I think you might be trying to decipher paramen ovale - that's a hole in the heart, and the term has been around for a century or so. I know because it is repeatedly in my family's paperwork... The other word you see, something like fratis - the doctor may have been thinking 'fraternal', for the father's side as cause of problrm, I don't know. But thought I'd pass that on...anyhow, will try to visit more often, and am sending lots of hugs your way - Rhonda and Gannon Blue
