Bio and Links
Bio Photo To request a memorial to be transferred to you, the only way is to go to the "Edit" tab in the upper right of the memorial, go to "Suggest Any Other Correction or Addition" - put in your relationship to the memorial, and your memorial #. It must be done through the "edit" tab only, to insure that the correct memorial is transferred to the correct contributor. I will most likely transfer if a close relative - which must be given in the "edit" tab.

PLEASE to not post birth or marriage certificates or obituaries NOR put in the flower tab any information about the deceased. Send me in the "edit" tab to put this in the "Bio" section. I do not link to parents who are in a burial that are not known.

Thank you for all that have contributed to the memorials which are in my charge. And thanks to the ones that take pictures for me.

I will not transfer if they are apart of my own family or friends. Some of the lines I am researching are Masters, Chamblee, Keith, Kay, Hoffman, Veitch, Harding, Randolph, Isham, Totherow, Whitworth, Cartright, Murray, Magnusson, Bird, Stapley, Bliss, Pomeroy, Cunningham, Roth, Harding, Quinlan, Barrows, Norris, Totten, Jordan, Stumpf and Hannum.

Because of the passing of contributor's Kathy McConnell and ancestorsatrest, I have been given a good portion of their memorials to take care of.

Elaine Berger has transferred the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery memorials for me to take care of.

I was wondering if you would remove the memorial for Jean Eggen. I note that your memorial 147618501 was created after mine, and this is my wife's aunt.

RE: BRUCE GRAHAM - GREEN ACRES
WHEN YOU SIGN UP TO TAKE THE PHOTO, YOU "CLAIM THE REQUEST" I WILL DO THAT IF SOMEONE ELSE, WHO LIVES CLOSER CLAIMS IT FIRST. MY DRIVE IS ABOUT 40 MILES ROUND TRIP. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW IT WILL GET DONE WITHIN THE NEXT 3 WEEKS.

BRUCE GRAHAM - GREEN ACRES
IF NO ONE CLAIMS THIS OVER THE NEXT 2 WEEKS, I WILL GET HIS PHOTO. I GREW UP IN SCOTTSDALE AND GRADUATED FROM CORONADO HIGH SCHOOL IN 1963.

Double Dates eg 1605/1606
Hello!
I happen to read a note you left in another post. In it you mentioned a birth year that you found as 1605/1606. Your comment was that you didn't know which was correct. I would suggest that they may both be right! If the date was between January 1 and March 24 and the event occurred before 1752, you have a double date situation. It's a bit of a lengthy explanation, but it involves the conversion from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. Great Britain retained the Julian calendar which recognized March 25th as the first day of the new year. Thus, in some parts of the world, March 10 was after the new year (1605 became 1606 for example) but Great Briton and her colonies didn't change the year until March 25. Feel free to contact me directly at dave@oldbones.info and can direct you to a DropBox folder with dozens of useful genealogy documents.
