|Mark Morrow||☆ THANK YOU ☆|
Thank you Tim & Gail.
I appreciate the transfer.
|James||Sounds like my dad, did the best he could, wasn't much.|
A lot of people, from broken homes, join the military to find a new family. A source of stability and strength to live on. A broken home affects one more than most could ever imagine. This is my story too, I took the same path. Broken home joined the military to get away from it all and to find a stable environment, it was a blessing for me.

Thank you for the information. I know you aren't supposed to do it, but I just added a new memorial on there with the information I needed. I am pretty new at this. Well the findagrave thing. Been doing my family history for a few years now. I will look into contacting someone to get the changes made.
|Anonymous||Request for photo of Elizabeth Rebecca Carter Memorial|
My wife and I documented the grave stones in Cottonwood Cemetery a couple of years ago for the Flint Hills Genealogical Society. We had John Carter's memorial stone in our file but not a photo for Elizabeth Rebecca Carter. I returned today (12-13-14) and confirmed there is no stone for Elizabeth; I also checked all four sides of John's and the only inscription is on one side pertaining to John.
|Becky Doan||RE: Jehu and Alfred Carter|
Glad to help. I was working on another Carter mystery in Maplewood Memorial Lawn, and saw info for Alfred and J.P's brother Lindley in that cemetery...and so off I went on a hunt for more info! Someone had uploaded some Gazette scans of obits on Ancestry.com so typed out what I could. I am from Emporia, and am curious to find so many people who lived at the "town" Plymouth because it is mainly a sign on the road now, with a handful of houses. It was interesting that J.P. was helping to build the MWA building! I will have to try to find some pictures now. Also, Toledo. I know it is a neighborhood, but didn't really realize there was any type of town there. This stuff is too addicting when I have other things to do..... better get busy! Becky
