Bio and Links
Bio Photo Georgia (Decatur, DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, and now Cherokee County) has been home for two thirds (most) of my life. Two sons, three granddaughters, and three grandsons, all of whom are Georgians.
An Amarillo, Texas native (and 10 yr. native of Fort Worth), and seven generations removed from Patrick and Margaret McCullough Phinney of Chester (District)County, SC, dating from 1786.
History at times surpasses genealogy as the greater interest. This site is a compilation of stories from individuals responsible for that history, and it never ceases to improve with each addition.
Paternal Lineage: Phinney, Crosser, Wright, McCullough
Maternal Lineage : Daniel, Newman, Talley, Magee

"Tis but a few whose days amount
To three score and ten
And all beyond that short account
Is sorrow, toil and pain."

RE: Susan Thrower Birth
?? Hello, Wes. Thank you for your interest and input. I don't see the 1832 date anywhere in Susan's memorial, so may i ask what has prompted your inquiry? I entered the 1816 date because that is what is on her grave marker, but all other info determines her birth to be follows...several family genealogies(father- William Ryals/Royal, mother- Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Tucker, Susan Royal born in Ga. 1832...1850 census(Chambers,Al) shows Susan age 18 in the home of Elizabeth Royal age 54 with other siblings but no father present... Susan L M Royal married Mark Thrower 16 Feb 1853 in Chambers Al. shortly after the death of his first wife Elizabeth (Thompson?)...Susan's second name is Lucinda (referenced by Mark in a personal letter to her during his civil war service)...1860 census (Randolph,Co Ga) shows Susan age 28 in the household of Mark Thrower...1870 census(Stewart Co Ga) she is 38 yrs in house of Mack Thrower. The 1880 census adds 5 yrs to her age (born 1827) and changes the family name to Thomas, but the children in the home confirms that it is the Thrower family. I have no other info for Susan except the date of death on her grave marker...1908. Tell me what you think??

RE: Ben Ehrlich 1943
Hi Wes,

Nope .... he is interred there in Georgia with the record you created. He was originally interred in the Netherlands but was later repatriated there in Georgia after the war in 1948 or 1949.

Check out this airmen's record to see what crew he was on:

If you'd like you can transfer his record to me and I can update his record to look like the above record and then "transfer his record BACK to you" after I'm done. :-)

Or you can copy info from the above record yourself. :-)

Thanks my friends,

Wes: FindAGrave misunderstood my notifying them that your biopage for Capt. Pickett was that of a cenotaph. I did this per their rules. Instead, they merged the 2. I've emailed them requesting they restore yours and to mark it as cenotaph.
