Bio and Links
Bio Photo ORVF has been a pioneer of online genealogy since 1997. Author and family historian A.David Distler created the website after his book titled "Ohio River Valley Families" was published in early 1997. ORVF was, and still is, a digital archive for many additions and corrections to the book. The database is very comprehensive, remaining focused on related individuals, their ancestors and descendants, who once settled the Ohio River Valley. A few notables in this database are George W Bush and George H W Bush, Louis Capet (King Louis VII of France), Daniel Boone, Stephen Hopkins and Francis Cooke (of the Mayflower), Zachary Taylor, Dwight Eisenhower, Ulysses S Grant, Jefferson Davis, Virginia Katherine McMath (Ginger Rogers), Myra MayBelle Shirley (Belle Starr), James Madison, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D Roosevelt and Richard Nixon.

Hello again,

Would you be so kind as to transfer George Adam Nighbert #6395106, and Mary Catherine Dickey Nighbert #6395095, to me as they are my great grandparents. I would like to add siblings and children to them. Thank you.

Shirley and Lulu Sutherland Nighbert
Hello Dave,

Shirley Nighbert #6395175, and Lulu Sutherland Nighbert #6395181, are my grandparents. Their son, Sidney Lee Nighbert is their youngest son and my Dad. You might remember us from the cleaning of the Ceasar Creek Cemetery in Dearborn Co, back in the last 1990's. I would appreciate them being transferred to me (actually my husband, Jim Newman, #47375052.

Thank you,
Judy Nighbert Newman

thanks OVRF for such fast reply which shows William is not their son since born in 1871 and they married 1881. I re-sent link to William's mother Catherine Peppel. thanks.

Hello, just sending further info: if you would look at Gertrude's memorial 27657389 you will see a note that she is buried with her brother William. And my research verifies this IS her brother William, children of Johannes/John J. Riemenschneider and Catherine Peppel/Pepple. His middle name is Conrad and he appears in Barnesville obituary as son of John and Catherine. Died January 3, 1960. I'd like to see him linked to his mother Catherine's memorial as I don't know yet where his father John is buried. He died in 1886, in case you have any Monroe County cemetery records. Thanks very much.

Thank you for taking a picture of William Mansfield's stone. The reference to his first wife on the stone was a nice surprise. It provided a clue to his earlier family.
