Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy genealogy with my main lines being Merritt & Cagle and all associated names that go with them. Merritt is out of Cannon County/Dekalb County, Tennessee and Cagle is out of McNairy County, Tennessee.

I think Find A Grave is an excellent site and a fantastic idea. I have found many graves that I have needed on the site and I hope others find the ones I have posted useful.

I love nature and have 12 cats, two koi ponds, feed many mallard ducks, birds, squirrels and whatever else is hungry.

Eva Ingram photo request

You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for Eva Ingram. I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photos for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. They will also be able to tell you whether or not there is a headstone. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at 1963susansmith@gmail.com Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

Links you requested for James Bartlett
From what I have found the links you send me for his parents are not the correct parents. The James Bartlett that I have the memorial page for was born in TN but was in Ray County, MO in 1850:

1850 United States Federal Census
Name: James L Bartlett
Age: 13
Birth Year: abt 1837
Birthplace: Tennessee
Home in 1850: District 75, Ray, Missouri
Gender: Male
Family Number: 923
Household Members: Name Age
Henry Bartlett 33
Sarah Bartlett 28
James L Bartlett 13
Jesse Y Bartlett 8

The parents you asked me to link him to had a son named James Bartlett but they, including James, were in Jackson County, TN in 1850:

1850 United States Federal Census
Name: James Bartlett
Age: 14
Birth Year: abt 1836
Birthplace: Tennessee
Home in 1850: District 13, Jackson, Tennessee
Gender: Male
Family Number: 112
Household Members: Name Age
Joshua Bartlett 39
Anna Bartlett 34
William Bartlett 15
James Bartlett 14
Garlan Bartlett 13
Elizabeth Bartlett 11
Henry Bartlett 10
John Bartlett 8
Milton Bartlett 5
Rebeca Bartlett 4
Permelia Bartlett 1
Sansanah Hally 46

Is your connection to the James I have the memorial page for or the Bartlett family in Jackson County, TN?
Thank you!!

RE: Oscar Lee Smithson 1898-1971
There are two Oscar Smithson's. Your Oscar Lee is the son of Adron & Nancy Duke. He was the one who married 1st Pelham and 2nd Woods. The other is William Oscar and he was the son of Christopher Columbus & Laura Lafevers that are referenced in the 1900 Census. His family moved to Ellis Co., Texas between 1900 & 1910 and he died there in 1975. William Oscar was in the 1900 Census but I have never found Oscar Lee Smithson's family in the 1900 Census. So yes it does look like you have the wrong Oscar Smithson sourced in the 1900 Census on your Ancestry tree. All other sources for him look right. Hope this makes sense.....

Do you know where Angeline Pelham Smithson is buried, death cert. just says Cannon, Co.?
