I am retired from the Coast Guard & 15 1/2 years with the VA Regional Office in Sioux Falls, SD. I am now fully retired. I have been doing family research for about 30 years and fully understand the significance of good evidence. My wife, Pam, and I have three kids and 6 grandchildren. Our grandkids are very enthusiastic about finding gravesites and the history surrounding them.|

Where you have husband and wife Tombstone and separate memorials (Lindekugels) please connect them on their memorials. Spencer Cemetery.
|R. G. (Bob) Dirks||RE: Dircks Family|
This would be a Great Uncle 3 times removed, so
no need to transfer the memorial. I was just doing some additions to the memorial. Please finish adding the additional data.
Thanks for all that you do.
|Remember Them Always||RE: Mennonite Cemetery|
This site is wonderful! It has been so helpful in my family history search. As for Mennonite Cemetery, I just fulfilled some requests. I have no relatives there. So no transfers needed. ;) Thanks for the offer, though!

David: They finally merged the two cemeteries, if you want to have a look. You can find it under Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery aka Catholic Cemetery...GC

|Grace Swanson||Alfred Johnson|
Thank you for the photo of Alfred Johnson's grave. I have a feeling that this is one Johnson I may not be related to, but it is so hard with so many people of very same name and very close birth dates. The Alfred Johnson that I have in my ancestry was born in 1886 (I have a WW I draft registration that clearly shows 1886)
I would like to thank you anyhow for your time and effort in getting this and the other photos from the Komstad Cemetery.
I remember going there as a young child. My grandfather and grandmother had a farm very close to the Komstad Church. That church was the one my father grew up in. He became a missionary to Nigeria, where my brother, sister and I were born.
Since I now live in California, it is a bit of a journey for me to get to S. Dakota, but someday I would really like to go back one more time. For now, I so much appreciate the photos you have taken for me.

Thank you so much for the photo of Esther Emelia Johnson. She is a cousin on my grandmother's side.
|Grace Swanson||Christine Lindberg-Johnson|
Once again David, thank you so much for the photo of Christine Lindberg-Johnson's grave. She married into the family on my grandmother's side.
|Grace Swanson||Thank you for finding Hanna Johnson grave|
Hello David, There is nothing that can compare to seeing a photo of the person I am researching or a photo of their grave. Hanna was my cousin on my grandmother's side of the family. This photo gave me actual dates (I had just the years) of her birth and death and also the actual spelling of her first name. It is also interesting that I had her listed as Margaret Hanna(h) and the grave has Hanna M. So your photo sorted out a few key facts. Thank you so much for your time and effort to get this photograph. I appreciate it.
