"But don't forget the pioneers!
Brave heroes and heroines!
Their graves shall yet be found,
And monuments shall mark their dust,
As sacred earth and ground."

|Julie Bissell Tupker||Jetta Tupker|
In the Greenwood Cemetery, Cumberland , Iowa, you have Jetta Tupker. She was my husband's grandmother. In the obit that was shared for her, it has one mistake and one omission.
Her great grandson is given as Richard Edward Tupker. That is not correct. He is Michael Edward Tupker (our son).
For some reason, the original obit also must have not included her other great grandson, Robert Edward Tupker, who preceded her in death (our son who died at two days of age).
The original obit shouldn't be changed, but is there some way you can add a note "after" the obit, showing the error and omission? I would really appreciate it.
And....I note that your maiden name was Porter. Are you related to Jetta Porter Tupker and if so, how?
Jetta was not only my husband's grandmother, but she was also my dad's first cousin, so we are also kissing cousins.

I found this photo you had posted for Lulu Hoover who was buried at Glenwood Hospital "for the feeble minded" children.. Is this statue really there for them?
My 12 yr old Aunt lived, died and was buried there in 1940. Mercedes Crout.
Just wondering. Special.

|Rod||RE: I appreciate your ongoing work & contributions. Thanks for all that you do....|
No problem. Brad Kellogg has photographed what I did not have done and I am matching things up with the burial plots and etc. Also when I get time I will add obit's when I come across them, or have time to do so. Many of the burials in Richland cemetery are the first settlers of Dakota Territory and we need to preserve the history.

I would greatly enjoy comparing pictures of the Lund family in Lake Shore Township. Send me scanned photographs at firstname.lastname@example.org
I have other photo's you might like as well.

I have just finished photographing the Richland cemetery and was wondering if you know who F. Hendricks is. That stone is located to the right of the Maynard family monument and to the left of Soloman's stone. (between the two). Is F. Hendricks a Maynard?
p.s. very interesting story you posted on the memorial
