I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.
I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.
My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley. I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.
Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.
Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.
A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

 | RE: America & Clarence Hartley When I resize I use my "small" setting. Is 815x480. I've tried "custom" setting using the #'s suggested by Find A Grave but found they are harder to work with. | | | Mrs Donna Schauss
 | RE: America & Clarence Hartley Realized I gave a general reason for dkr stone pics but it's not totally accurate to say it's only when it's cloudy out. Since some days are cloudy but other times it doesn't stay that way as in the case of this stone for America & spouse. What's probably the "secret" is that my camera "auto adjusts". The stone & surroundings will be washed out when first look at screen and then I press button lightly and the stone (& surroundings) turns dkr to be closer to true color. Then press button down harder to take pic. It's a Nikon Coolpix 8 (megapixels). | | | Mrs Donna Schauss
 | RE: America & Clarence Hartley Yes, time of day is key. I go on cloudy days after and in between rain and have better luck than fighting the glare and shadows form the sun. Donna | | | Paul Lemley

 | Mystery solved! Mary Lou Taylor Cox #35948965 and Clarence A Cox #35948962 go together... Sorry for the double posting on the previous message... I don't know why it did that? You took grave photos for both of these, but the big stone did not show both of their names and they were not linked together... I have requested that they be linked and am going to check with the newspaper/funeral home on their daughter's obituary...and try to find out what is going on there! Thanks for all of your help!
