Researching my family history since 1996, I have extensive records on families that lived near the Wetzel/Tyler County border of West Virginia from the 1830's through the 1940's. I am currently updating my records with readings from the 1940 census. Surnames I am researching include: Tennant, Smith, Minor, Gorby, Pittman, Wright, Fiber and McIntire.

I discovered earlier today that Joseph Alexander (aka Alex,Alexander, J. A.) was married 4 times!! Found his 4th marriage record when I looked for Alexander Wright. Married Lulu (Wecht)Immel on Aug 3, 1918 in Cuyahoga County, OH. We do have his death record from Ravenna, Portage, OH but it says he was buried in Farr WV and I have not been able to find a cemetery there. No record of him on Find A Grave. Do not know who wife #3 was after Mary Wright Minor Wright died in 1814. Busy guy, huh??? Thanks. We are also looking for any information on Charity Catherine Fox Wright (father, the proven American Patriot Joseph Fox and husband, Isaac Wright). She died in Wetzel County, WV in July 1885, but we cannot find any documentation. Getting our info from a book. Associated names are Pittman, Crane and Kenedy. Thanks! | | | Jill Wright
