I have been researching my families since 2000 which consist primarily of (paternal) Fortney, Groves & Summers and (maternal) Armstrong, Boylen & Fawley. Of course, this includes all the allied lines.
The majority of memorials I have created are of my relatives. However, I have created some memorials for unrelated folks whose headstones I just happened to photograph while visiting a particular cemetery. If I have created a memorial that you'd like transferred to you, please send a note via normal channels under the 'Edit' tab of the memorial with a comment stating your relationship to that person.
Headstone Photos: permission is hereby given to relatives to use my photos for their personal use. You can right click on a photo and select to Save to your computer.
If you are or think you are related to me, please contact me by email and/or visit my website. | |

 | Warner-Cobun Hi Del, thanks for letting me know you'll be creating Beatrice's husband. I'm distantly related to Warners, not Cobun. I love "reuniting" family members so appreciate that you are doing the same. thanks! | | | Paul Klear

 | Mount Zion cemetery the GPS for this cemetery... should be... 39.486621,-80.043554 / I added it to google maps but it needs reviewed before it will show up and I'm not sure if I did it right. The cemetery is on both sides of the road and if you zoom in on satellite you can see the dimensions perfectly.Added by Gia Hays on May 03, 2013 7:51 AM | | | Gia Hays
 | RE: Fortney Cemetery Findagrave makes you add a town for cemeteries, I include a note that the town listed is the closest to the cemetery but that it is located outside of the town. The mapping is frustrating for people who want to visit the cemetery. I photograph cemeteries and have tried to use the maps to find them, I finally gave up on that, some are correct or at least close enough to find, but there are so many others that are way off. This area is bad with mapping, when I go out to photograph, I take 4 maps, a topographical, a city department map and a regular county map and I use my GPS map, I find it funny that in some areas none of them match! And of course, they have been doing 911 mapping in these rural areas and they are changing road names, but not changing the signs, so google is different from what you see driving down the road. This contributes to cemeteries being mapped incorrectly on here :(Added by Gia Hays on May 03, 2013 7:31 AM | | | Gia Hays
 | RE: Fortney Cemetery I just wanted to let you know that it's not mapped correctly because I know you have locations in your family files. There are so many on google maps that aren't correct, I tried to go through and correct some of them but I was doing something wrong on the site and nothing would save, I should go down to the local kindergarten and get some tech support... lol I am glad you had entered from the transcription, I found the cemetery while I was out trying to get some Marion county cemeteries photographed and without some of the people already listed, I would have started a new cemetery. Thank you!!

 | RE: Coombs Cemetery, Monongalia Co, WV I'm not sure where this cemetery is located. I got the information from an obituary. It looks like it might be a small family cemetery, considering it is the same last name as the individual buried there. I will continue to look for more information on this.Added by DK on Apr 27, 2013 7:23 PM | | | Mary McClelland
