Find A Grave's mission is 'graves registration'. While the site is also a 'genealogical resource', it is not a site designed to record a family tree.
Please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Findagrave guidelines.
Due to the growing popularity of the website I have been getting multiple transfer requests for the same memorial from several different contributors. Trying to determine who should get the memorial is becoming difficult for me.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked.

 | JAMES LIVINGSTON Hi Judy,
I was wondering if you know if Douglass had a newspaper in 1908?
Trying to find proof of James father and hoping to find an obit.
Thanks in advance for any help.

 | Adam Rynazewski #29860500 Ms. Mayfield,
Would you please consider transferring Adam Rynazewski's memorial to my care? He was my grandmother's eldest brother, and lived with my great-grandmother until she became too frail to care for him (he was deaf and blind). I would like to link his memorial to his father and mother, his siblings, and his extended family. All the rest of his family members are buried either in Leavenworth, KS, or St Joseph, MO. Please consider the transfer; it took me a very long time to find Uncle Adam, and I don't want him to become lost ever again.
Thank you. | | | Mardi Kightlinger
 | Leah Waller # 38960786 transfer Hello,
First let me thank you for what you do. You are appreciated.
Will you please transfer # 38960786 to me? I would like to add to the memorial and make it special for my family.
Leah Waller was my uncle's first wife and mother of my cousins. This may be a bit outside of your usual guidelines, but no one has done anything to make the memorial other than "the basic". I have pictures and stories and can make it nice for my cousins.
I will thank you ahead of time for the transfer so as not to clog up your email. :D

 | Memorial 101659009 In researching the Weyer family of Haviland, I came across the obituary of Joseph Weyer. "An Accidental Shooting Fatal" Joseph Weyer, a 19-year old son of A.J. Weyer, prominent citizen, was accidently shot on the farm of George McQuery, ten miles south of Haviland. The young man was riding in a spring wagon with four of his companions when he reached over to take a rifle from one of them, letting his shotgun slip down on the outside of the wagon box, striking the step and causing the gun to be discharged. The entire load of shot took effect in the leg just above the knee. "The Hays Free Press" under Kansas State News, page 2, Sept 19, 1908. Source: Library of Congress. Note: It is your option to attach, I just thought about the grief this family must have endured and the befitting memorial they provided for their son in the gravestone that you photographed so well. Thank you for your contributions. | | | Wendi Bevitt
