I live in Uniontown Ohio; Professional firefighter and paramedic for the City of Stow FD, and Uniontown FD (OH). I am very interested in my family history, as well as helping others with their searches. Uniontown is halfway between Akron (Summit Co) and Canton (Stark Co), so I would be willing to travel to many areas in northeast Ohio.|
I am searching for the following:
RIPPLINGER and FLICKINGER (from Summit/Stark/Wayne counties OH)
CHRISTENSEN/CHRISTENSON & MAYER (from Summit County OH)
BORDEN (from Lucas/Ottawa OH & Washington County PA)
KUEHNLE & NAPIER & HALL (from Lucas/Ottawa Counties OH)
LANDON & HEWITT (Franklin County OH)
WALKER (from Miller County MO & Pratt County KS)
McKINNEY & BOND (from Wayne & Carter KY)
WYRICK & STEPHENS & MULLEN & BILYEU & HAWLEY & GOLDEN (from Miller County MO)
GUEST & MILNER & HIGGINBOTHAM & PARKINSON (from London Ontario)
HARRISON (from London Ontario to Summit County OH)
WISE (from PA to Greentown OH)
BLOOD & GOETZKE (from MN)
MYERS (from Cambria County PA)
GRESSLEY & RAY (from Indiana County PA).
FEEL FREE TO USE MY PHOTOS ANY WAY YOU WANT. As far as I'm concerned, I took them for YOU, so they belong to YOU. However, if you are going to use it on Ancestry, make sure it's not already there before you add it.
Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer request. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED. If this rule is not followed, your request will be ignored. I follow Findagrave guidelines for transfers and I make transfers that don't meet these guidelines on a case by case basis.
The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

Thank you for the info. I didn't know I could make the changes myself

UAB has duplicated your memorial (#90415159 vs #99015066) as she has several other contributors. She also copies our photos and posts to hers. You might want to check and see if you have others duplicated and request she delete them.

Barb and I appreciate all your help updating the Alliance City Cemetery.
Do you have a photo of a headstone for this memorial? Do you know who I can contact to ask if there was an obituary/death notice for Justina and her husband John Singer? Thank you so much for your Find A Grave efforts and photos. It is so wonderful to find a memorial for an otherwise 'lost' person.

Well I think this must be the same cemetery although when I was back there years ago there was no sign for a cemetery at St James Church on Pigeon Run and Elton. There were a number of headstones though however none that I knew of for Henry and August. If these do appear to be duplicates which I think they are the church had a record of a burial but no headstone was ever located. The dates and information I have on my listings are correct however. Thank you

Hi, just curious did you actually find headstones or burial records at this cemetery? Henry was my great grandfather and August my Great Uncle. I was back in Canton a number of years ago doing research and went to this very small cemetery at St James Church at Crossroads. They had records for these two although there are no headstones. Henry Vossick's inlaws Herman Wishman and Helena Knipscher Wishman are buried there as well and there are headstones. Thanks for your information.
Glen A. Frederick
