Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you one will ever know.

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?

Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. Please select the option for "Other" in the "Type of photo:" to be added, as it is not a Grave, Person or Family photograph. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).

It really bothers me that some people go out and take all these pictures and put info on find a grave without any info as the person does not even belong to them and then they wont transfer as they say you are not a direct line , well I am one that if that person is not related to me I am more than willing for anyone to have it to put information on so others can find it.. So keep that in mind if you ask for a transfer be willing to transfer back and not always follow the guidelines that you have to be DIRECT relative. Sometime there is no one left to put the information on find a grave...

Memorial# 154745656 Otto Hanus
Hi Coleman,

I'm wondering if you have more information for Find A Grave Memorial# 154745656 for Otto Hanus?

My dad went to the cemetery a few weeks ago and they said they had no record of Otto.

We believe this is the little boy of my dad's great-grandmother.

My dad's been looking for little Otto for years and wants to visit his grave.

Please feel free to message me or email me at

Thank you!

Thank you very much for adding the links and approving my "suggestions" for Joe. I really appreciate it but also for going above and beyond with the additional information. I've been looking for his sister Mary but was stumped with not knowing her married name, but this information provided that- thank you!

Mary died on 22 Nov 1712 at Windsor, Hartford County, CT.

John WOODRUFF was born circa 1643 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT, and was baptized on 16 May 1658 at age 15 and upward. John died there before 16 May 1692 when inventory of his estate was taken. He was made freeman on 12 Oct 1669 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT. He was called son John by the will of Matthew Woodruff dated 6 Sep 1682. John's will dated 18 Apr 1692 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT, mentioned his son John Woodruffe, son Joseph Woodroffe, grandson John Root, four daughters Hannah, Phebe, Margaret and Abigail, and daughter Mary Roote. It made sons John and Joseph sole executors and brother Samuel Woodruffe and cousin John Orton overseers.

According to the interment records for West Park Cemetery, Harvey was only one year old. Would you please change the year of birth to 1913?

I had done research for my sister in law for
Minnie Taylor and William L Grant, just curious
are you related. If so, do you know about the

Ok, those notes are better. That's pretty amazing. That another John Gannon married a Margaret Stanton and had a son Patrick Gannon in Cuyahoga county.
Thank you.

Excellent job putting these siblings with their parents. I'm working on a family book, and you have helped me with information I had not found to date. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this.
