If you share an ancestor with me, I'd love to hear from you and trade info, or pictures, or whatever I have. I would appreciate whatever you have. I am always eager to meet a new cousin.|
You are entitled to use any photo I have posted. I took them so others could see the gravestones of their ancestors and families. You are entitled to use any photo (or document) of a person I have posted on my memorials. I have access to an extensive family treasure of photos--which I have scanned and cataloged. I am more than willing to share.
If you have photos or documents of a family member of mine, a copy would be greatly appreciated.
Since retiring after 36 years in publishing, I've transitioned from publishing McGraw-Hill mathematics textbooks to creating books about travel, family members, and the Civil War. Family names include: Block, Norden, Luderman, Potterf, Morris, Young, Rulf, and Kesling. My wife's family names include Swift, Wach, Volz, Allen, McMillan, Garreaux, Pettingill, Nankervis, and Yendow.
For the Civil War, I'm most interested in the 14th OVI, Company E. I'm trying to identify the place of burial for all the members of Company E of the 14th OVI. My great grandfather, Charles Harrison Block, served in that regiment from August 1861 (he was 16) until July of 1865.
If you see an ancestor to you that I have uploaded, please request a transfer. I am happy to do so, even if it falls outside of the Find A Grave guidelines.
I am always willing to try to help others find their ancestors as other Find A Grave members have helped me.

LT Nathaniel O Cobb
I have reviewed the VA Nationwide Grave Locator records at http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/ and they show no record of a LT Nathaniel O Cobb burial location at the Marietta-National Cemetery. If you feel that this information is not correct you can contact the Marietta office at (334) 855-4731.
LT Cobb could be among the thousands of UNKNOWN Civil War Soldiers buried at Marietta National Cemetery. If you feel that he could be one of them, then I could place a picture on his memorial page as an UNKNOWN. Let me know. Joe

No problem. Are you looking for Civil War soldiers in general that are buried in Forest Cemetery or only those from a specific Company/Regiment? I have some photographs of other Civil War soldiers buried in Forest Cem., if you are interested in researching.

|sjmohr||RE: Jonathan Wood|
Thank you for your dedication on researching the Civil War Soldiers from the Toledo area. I find the stories of the soldiers so fascinating. It is surprising that Jonathan Wood enlisted in the war at age 62!
You had also done some researching on another of Toledo's soldiers, Capt. George W. Kirk. It is sad these two soldiers do not have any grave markers. Perhaps they once existed (?).
I have Jane Wood linked to Jonathan Wood's memorial.
Keep up your good research work on the Civil War soldiers! sjmohr

My Grandfather, Clyde W. Hankins collaborated with John Hankins Wallace on the Hankins portion of the "Genealogy of the Riggs Family". Do you have any further information on Absolom or his Hankins Line?
Clyde produced hand written information on his g- grandfather John Hankins 1799 PA - 15 Oct 1876, Mifflin Twp & Marseilles Twp Wyandot Co Ohio.
and I would like to document John's ancestors.
