Oma
Birth date
Luetta Haskins Walden is an ancestor of mine. I was curious as to why her birthdate of 1864 is different from the 1865 on her headstone. Thanks for checking this for me.

RE: Barbara Renkert Fischer #119984030
Thank you so much! May great-grandmother was Maria Fischer, the sister of Barbara. From the German church records, I have extensive documentation of her family in Germany. My grandmother married Andreas Furrer there, and they immigrated to the U.S. to homestead in Nebraska (my sister still lives on that family farm). But until now, NO ONE on my father's Furrer family had any knowledge that more of the Fischer sisters every came to Amercia. My grandfather Furrer, one of Maria's sons, had no knowledge of it, nor did my father. This birth certificate info from Ohio for Barbara Renkert Fischer is conclusive evidence that we Nebraska Furrers probably have distant cousins in Ohio. Thank you again!

Barbara Renkert Fischer #119984030
Greetings:

First, thanks so much for all your efforts documenting Ohio resting places, much appreciated. I was thrilled, after several years of searching, to finally find what I believe to be my great aunt Barbara, whose sister Anna Maria (Mary)from Nebraska was my great-grandmother (another sister, Catherine/Katharina Fischer, had married into the Ohio Trumps in Circleville). These sister's parents were Debold Fischer and Barbara Renkert in Germany, just as your notation indicated.

However, I'm wondering if you might be willing to share the "source" of this notation regarding their parents? Since it's not on the actual headstone, and since I can find no other records on Barbara, including any possible marriages (United States or Germany), I'm seeking any clues on the "Grandmother" reference on her headstone, which may open up a whole new string of possible connections.

Did the confirming "daughter of ..." notation come from your personal knowledge, or a written or oral family history, or from other memorials within the Union Cemetery?

Anything you may remember or be willing to share would be wonderful, and thank you in advance. My personal home email address is:

Thank you in advance,
