It would be helpful if the memorial for Sarah Collins could say that researchers have different thoughts about Sarah's maiden name. I have fairly substantial proof that Sarah/Salley's maiden name was Cilley, her father was Benjamin Cilley, her sister was Betsey Cilly who married Richard Collins (brother to Benjamin), and her mother was Betsey Edmunds Cilley, which is why Salley and Ben named their son Edmunds (he went by Edmund, but anyway, he was named for his mom's mother's maiden name). Yes, someone named Benjamin Collins married someone named Sarah Wright, but that marriage took place several years after this Ben and this Salley had begun their family, and that marriage took place in Virginia. They lived in New Hampshire and in Ohio. It would be helpful to all researchers if at least a difference of opinion were made known. Thanks.
Mary Miller Francisco Hi 😊 I am working on my direct line and Mary Miller Francisco is a great grandmother of mine. On FindAGrave there are 2 entries both that are maintained by you. I was merely wondering if they are in fact the same person and which information is the most correct and if you would happen to have any other information on her. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=137619661 http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=154750652
RE: 70397630 Edward Dursch I'll have to see if I can find out, it was noted on his wife's obit page, not in her obit. Just never know what you might find? There are Dursch's that attend my church, I'll have to ask them, if they know anything, they are related some how. Thanks, Jean
John Franklin Yount photo Hi Marita, We are assembling our YOUNT family history, and noticed you had submitted the photo of John Franklin Yount. awesome! We are curious if you have any other "Yount" photos. Specifically looking for John's father, Elam Yount, or mother, Mary Frances(Kyle). Of course any nephews, cousins, etc would be treasured as well. Perhaps even William Jason Yount or his wife Maria Ellen(Tobias)? So many older family pictures get lost in shoeboxes, etc, and online photo searches are extremely difficult. Any help and/or direction is appreciated greatly! We recently visited Ohio, and got so many family headstone pictures...now trying to put person photos with the headstones. Thanks for all the work you do!!
