I enjoy photography and taking pictures of tombstones is something I have done for several years (20) but mostly to document my family. I was looking for relatives buried in a cemetery and stumbled across Find A Grave and found more pictures of several family members and started taking pictures for Find A Grave so others would have the same opportunity to locate their relatives.
At State of Ohio Feebleminded Cemetery all uncovered stones have been photographed and posted... now to find the other 500 or so that are covered and/or missing.
If I have posted a memorial of one of your family members and you would like to have it transferred to you, Please submit any additions, corrections, biographies,or family links to me under "EDIT" and "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" on the memorial site. IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE FAMILY LINK NUMBERS, LINKS WILL NOT BE MADE. PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK THE NUMBERS BEFORE SENDING. DO NOT MAKE MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR DIFFERENT MEMORIAL CORRECTIONS ON ONE MEMORIAL SITE. GO TO EACH MEMORIAL SITE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AND MAKE YOUR REQUEST THERE IF YOU SEND WITHOUT THE MEMBER ID I WILL NOT LOOK IT UP. THERE ARE TOO MANY REQUESTS WITH MISSING INFO. ASKING 2 OR 3 TIMES WITHOUT THE INFO WILL GET THE SAME RESULTS.
RE: William J Hinamon His mother's maiden name is shown as "Myers" (79516080), but his grandmother's name was "Myer" (110608575). Sorry that I confused you. Was only making a comparison to Hinaman and Hinamon and how hard it is to track families when someone changes the spelling of their name.
RE: Chenowith Thanks for the info. I might try Chenoweth again sometime when less rainy and muddy..it reminded me of when I tried to find a cemetery in W.Va. on a one lane road that got narrower and narrower and wound up with weeds on both sides of the road about 8 foot high and i wanted to avoid that...donna
RE: Chenowith Maybe it is photographed enough..there is at least one McKinley pic on the genealogy bug website that I would like to get..but not sure if I want jiggers and mosquitoes and mud and weeds ...I started to go up around the other way and it was going up a hill to a sort of farm, so I turned back at the gate..probably lots of mud right now and lots of mosquitoes in Aug...I copied what I could from genealogy bug on the inscriptions. It was frustrating me that so many dates and inscriptions were unknown and that the cemetery is so boxed off in the woods..thanks for the updates done..donna
