For what it is worth, I want to thank all the selfless members who volunteer to honor and respect those who have passed before us. To sincerely thank them for the countless hours that they have contributed walking the cemeteries photographing, creating & or maintaining memorials, and sharing that information with the millions that would not be able to see it otherwise.|
A special sincere thanks to all the people that have transferred memorials of my family members to me. I want to wish everyone a very healthy and prosperous 2016
I find it such an honor to be able to join people that have been separated for so long, especially children that died at birth, or passed at a very young age, often separated by many miles and years. Even if just virtual connection it always gives me a special feeling knowing that others might not have to dig around to find they even existed in the first place.
Please remember that I always try to portray as accurate data as possible and that I am a volunteer doing this out of the kindness of my heart. I have joined thousands of individual graves with their loved ones that are not even related to me and do this in hopes that it helps others in the future, please remember this before jumping to harsh conclusions and that this is also a work in progress and we can all make mistakes or interpret documents differently.
I thought I might borrow what Jeff Gonyea on his Find a Grave profile:
"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most.
The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and honor."
Well put Jeff, and I just wish more of the people could soak these words of wisdom in.
*If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain memorials, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and are willing to take over management of the memorials. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates.
You can email email@example.com if you have someone who has accepted stewardship over the memorials you added. Please send in their member number with your email. Feel free to contact me should you wish that someone maintain the memorials you have created. Thanks!*

|Peter Hakze||Tillie Porter|
Thanks for all your info and postings about her dramatic death and her immature baby, which I added meanwhile to Tillie and her husband.
City of Almere, 16 miles east of Amsterdam
P.S. Are you related to the Porters?
|Jennifer Fisher-White||Charles and Jennie Lowe|
They are not related to me. Just some I added. I got them transferred to you.

Probably has a headstone now.
|Julie Nathanson||Leonard Bullard|
There is a birth record for Leonard Bullard, son of Peter and Eliza. who was born in Sherborn on 25 Mar. 1792.
I have seen sons with the same birth name - the second or more born after the first one died. I have seen the same with daughters. While not common, it does happen. In fact I had 2 brothers who died shortly after birth named the same name. My only brother has the same name as those who didn't survive, which happens to be my father's name.
That being said, if you or any of your family members know there was another Peter and Elizabeth Bullard in Sherborn I am happy to remove the parents link. I tend to think these are the same family because the second Leonard was born about a year after the first one died. I do have Bullard's in my family tree, but not this particular couple. I just enjoy photographing gravestones and posting to findagrave. I live in RI but was in the Medfield/Sherborn area looking for ancestors graves. It makes me feel a connection to see the actual stones.
I have no problem with your questions. I would rather take care of a duplication.
Thanks for the question and giving me the opportunity to research a little more.

I will add the info you sent me, but the only place to add siblings is in the bio. In fact when I started years ago before the quick links for parents and children the only way to add links for parents and children was to use html code in the bio section to do so. In some of my older pages this may still exist and I just haven't realized it unless someone points it out. It is just the way it was done, but the people that joined later don't realize that. As for my photos, you are welcome to use the ones that I posted, if they are posted by someone else you would have to ask their permission. Thanks for all your info and for and for all the work you do on Find A Grave. And thank you very much also. Have a nice day.

# 21275091 You sent me a message with her parents as Daniel Morrison (1819?1902) & Eliza McRae (1823?1863). I really do appreciate these and the others that you have sent, but the only problem is..if I don't have a memorial page # or a cemetery, I have no way of linking them. Thank you for all the edits that you have sent and all the work you do on Find A Grave. Have a nice afternoon.

Cousin to my husband. Her memorial probably was removed by a close family member. She is on Ancestry.com with many photos on the Messer Family Tree.
