Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Clear Creek Township, Huntington County, Indiana. I have been gathering information on the Eckman, Fine, Lahr, Shultz, Sloniker, Whitestine, and Winebrenner families since the early 1980s. My family file currently contains over 23,600 names and continues to grow.

NOTICE: I'm sorry, but I will not consider updates, corrections, additions, or notice of duplication, etc. from "visitors" who are not members of Find A Grave or are members but are not logged in.

PHOTOS: I must ask this small favor as I have found several of my photos used and claimed by others as their own on other websites. You may use the tombstone photos that I have posted to memorials if you will cite this photo credit: "This photo was taken by Find A Grave contributor 'Indiana Bill' who posted it to Find A Grave memorial ##########." To use my tombstone photos without this citation violates U.S. copyright law and Find A Grave guidelines as described below. Please do not use any of my person or family photos without first asking permission.

Photos taken by Find A Grave contributors are protected by U.S. Copyright Law (title 17, U.S. Code). Using them in any form without first getting permission to use them violates this law.

Here is the Find A Grave language regarding copyrights:

I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?

Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo.

TRANSFERS: Your exact relationship to the person involved is required before any transfer can take place. Transfers will be happily made when they are within the Find A Grave guidelines. If a requested transfer is outside of those guidelines and you cannot add a significant amount of new information to the memorial and just wish to "own" it, please do not request the transfer. I will gladly update memorials if you will send me the data. When a memorial transfer is requested, please use the Edit tab on the memorial you want transferred and send the request through the "Suggest a correction . . . " link.

UPDATES & LINKS: I will gladly update and add links to my memorials. If you have additional information to be added to a memorial, please use the Edit tab on the memorial you want updated and send the request through the "Suggest a correction . . . " link. PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU ARE A MEMBER OF FIND A GRAVE, ARE LOGGED IN, AND THAT THE UPDATE OR LINKS ARE SENT VIA AN "SAC" FROM THE MEMORIAL IN QUESTION.

DUPLICATES & CORRECTIONS: I make every effort to avoid duplicating memorials and to provide accurate data in my memorials. If you spot a duplication or an error, please tell me so I can remedy the situation. If you have a correction for a memorial, please use the Edit tab on that memorial and send the correction through the "Suggest a correction . . . " link. PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU ARE A MEMBER OF FIND A GRAVE, ARE LOGGED IN, AND THAT THE NOTICE OF DUPLICATION OR CORRECTIONS ARE SENT VIA AN "SAC" FROM THE MEMORIAL IN QUESTION.

OBITUARIES: Please do not add photos of obituaries to my memorials as it violates Find A Grave guidelines. If you send me the obituary information in typed form, please note that I will edit out the names of survivors to protect their privacy. Also, please include the source of the obituary information.

PUBLIC MESSAGES: If you send me a public message about a specific memorial, please be sure to include the memorial number in your message.

St Mary's Cemetery
Thanks for all the pictures from St Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point. I was planning a blitz for when I go home to visit this summer and you just saved me a vacation day. My little man thanks you too because he doesn't enjoy hanging around the cemetery with Dad while he takes pictures. Imagine that :-)

Thanks for the updated photo, I appreciate it. I seem to remember finding this stone mostly buried, so I cleaned it the best I could with what I had at the time. I'm not sure if someone else cleaned it, or if the rain and snow did, but it looks great now. Thanks!

OK found it ... Our paternal side. This is a list of his parents him and his siblings with the known dates. This is just family records so is not infallible! If you don't want to do the change it is fine.
Now that Find A Grave has been sold to the family is discussing not putting up anymore info. I hope they change their minds as they have a lot of info and old pictures to add. Take Care

Hi, I am not sure. There are several of us (family members) who are working together so don't know which sent the edit. When I find out I will have them send you the source of the info along with another request.

Thank you. No, I wasn't going to contact Jim about Leta's memorial. I am not related, either, I had found Lillian's sister's obituary, and the Sparks in Indiana made me curious so I looked around a bit and stumbled on the marriage records. I was actually looking for some Divilbiss/Divelbiss folks when I went off on this whole tangent, so I'll leave it alone now.
Thank you.
