Shortly after the Moravian Church in the small town of Aurelia, ND. closed in the early 70's, an association was formed to look after the cemetery.|
It was renamed the Aurelia Community Cemetery. I was elected to the board a few years later when one of the original members died. About ten years ago I helped my sister work on our family tree and now when I found Find A Grave, I realized how helpful it could have been.
This information was mostly taken from the tombstones at cemeteries I have visited, with some added from our family tree and ND death index files. I also get information from the Mouse River Loop Genealogy Society, of which I am a member.Most of these cemeteries are located in northwestern North Dakota.
With over 75,000 names in about 675 cemeteries, I'm sure I have made some mistakes. If anyone finds any errors or has more information let me know.I have photos (about 60,000) of the markers of most of the graves added in the last few years. I do not have time to add all these pictures but if someone requests one I will gladly add it if I have one. Please put Find A Grave in subject line.
Most of the obituaries I have added are from local funeral homes or old newspapers with their permission. All pictures that I have added were taken by me personally.

Hi Herb, can you please correct Find A Grave Memorial# 9457019? The persons name is Louis E. Seline, not Louise Seline. Thank you! April Coggins
|Rita Collvins Mayfield||Charles W Bell|
When I began to add information to the memorial you so graciously transferred to me, I discovered a difference that led me to further discover that I had mistaken your Charles W Bell for my Charles W Bell. I am sorry for the trouble I caused you, but I am still very grateful to you for the generosity you showed. I have transferred Charles back to you, and I apologize for my mistake. I thought I had researched it through, but just missed something. This means I must be more vigilant in the future.
Thanks so much,
|Rita Collvins Mayfield||Charles Bell|
Thank you so much Herb, for allowing me to manage Charles. I appreciate your generosity and pledge to take good care of him.
Again Thank you,
The transfers for Amos & Arminta Maynard are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for changing it from 1012 to 1912. This is the Pete we're looking for!
Thank you for the transfers!
|LINDA JOHNSON KLINGHAGEN||RE: Johnson family|
The only Johnsons at Mamrelund Cemetery that I'm related to are my mom and dad, Herbert and Bertha (Skrede) Johnson. There are lots of other Johnsons in the cemetery but none are my relations. ??
|Vicki Gowen||Zalomsky family|
Herb, you are doing an awesome, monumental job of adding all these graves. This is family of my step-father, Eldin Lester Zalomsky, grandson of Philip and Pauline Zalomsky, and son of Victor Edward Zalomsky and Elizabeth Alice Stevens, nee Dislevy, Zalomsky, both of which are buried in Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley, WA. This is not the easiest family line to follow, so any additional Zalomsky's you have or Dislevy's would be awesome to see!
Thanks so much!
Thanks Herb for all the Knodel transfers and pictures!
Many thanks for the marker photo for Blaine
