Bio Photo "Genealogy Without Documentation is Mythology".
"If You Can't Prove It,Don't Claim It As Fact."
And let's not forget some of our Grandmas favorite euphemisms..."Saying,Thank You,Opens Many Unexpected Doors - Failing to do may close those doors tight forever"...Philippians 2:3 & 4

"Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interest, but also for the interest of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ."
Thank you,to my good friend,Donna H.

"I think it is a real shame what FindAGrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers and enter the memorial first!! What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them".
Many use the site as a game board of getting back at others as well; instead of trying to work with one another, you chose to work against each other. If only we could all start from scratch and just get along think how wonderful this site would be?
Although,I have to admit, there are a few people, who I just as soon never work with after seeing how they manipulate & use FindAGrave to rob & steal the hard work of sincere researchers and site gain some sort of fame or self gratitude. If their ancestors aren't already "rolling over" in their graves, they will eventually see their descendants get their just rewards in the afterlife !

So for the folks who use this site & continue to share the information they find, freely with everyone, you have the never ending gratitude of 1000s of researchers who use this site.
To those other people who go thru life with a general bad attitude or who feel that they are entitled or exempt....This AIN'T FACEBOOK...So keep your drama & insults to yourself !

Please remember that the majority of the members of this site are volunteers, both for entries & photo requests. They spend their time & money to do this out of a love for history, to memorialize those who have gone before & to remember family members. It requires cooperation & teamwork. If you don't like to do these things, I'll suggest that you take up a different hobby.
I started way back in the late 1990s as a local online Volunteer with the original Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness/RAOGK website operated by Doc & Bridget Schneider, working with them for over 10 years until it sadly ceased operations;and I'm a volunteer researcher,contributor,Look-Up volunteer & Cemetery Transcriber on Rootsweb,Pa-Roots & the USGenWeb Project in Pennsylvania since 1996. So with over 39 years experience as a genealogical history researcher, creating memorials here on FindAGrave is not a race, It's a quest to create accurate, useful & meaningful memorials for those who have gone before us & for all who find them here.

My main objectives:
Photograph our local cemeteries, locate lost burials & follow up with any extra researched information I can find to add to many of the memorials I have had the honor to create here on FindAGrave. All additional verified sources can be seen listed at the bottom of the memorials bio sections, for researchers convenience.
BEWARE of transcriptions, published ,online or otherwise-Many mistakes have been found in popular locally published works...I walk these cemeteries, verify against burial records & other multiple sources.
Please take the time to read the FindAGrave FAQs.
Please use the EDIT button when submitting additions, corrections & transfer requests.
Please do not add OBITS and/or EDITS to memorials in the "flower and note" section. If I have made a mistake or you would like for me to add something please let me know through the edit tab for that memorial and include your sources.
All messages made on this page for adding, correcting or requesting transfers of any of the memorials I manage, will be removed.
If you have a lot of information to share, use the
line option titled "suggest any other addition or correction" found under the EDIT button on each memorial & PLEASE include your sources.
I follow the FindAGrave Guidelines regarding memorial transfers which means, direct relatives within four generations or your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
"Out of guideline" transfers will be considered depending on the situation ;please explain your relationship and we'll go from there.I will not transfer memorials for folks who are related to my own family lines.
Before entering a new memorial, I always verify 1st that another memorial for an individual does not already exist. In turn, I ask all contributors not to create duplicates of any existing original memorials.

Remember....Sources,citations,friendly conversations & discussions are always welcome !

Need local me!
I'm here to help in any way I can.

Manormia J. Cappuzzello

I have been researching information about my aunt (Manormia J. Cappuzzello) for a long time. I finally found her cemetery through church records. I see that you listed her grave site in April, with the cause of death. Can you forward me her records you found? I visited the grave site (with no stone) through the help of the cemetery caretaker this year. I would like to get copies of the information you found. I am doing a family tree and would appreciate this help.

RE: Re:Rice family edits
The information on the Rice family came from the 1900 US Census, Grant Township, Indiana, Pennsylvania, District: 54, Sheet: 6A, Lines: 13 through 21. I was searching for more information on Winona Ada Rice since she later became my great-uncle's first wife and came across this info on the rest of her family. I thought it might be useful to someone researching the Rice family. We only knew Winona's name and birth/death dates and her parents' names before I found this.
