Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching our family now for over 13 years. I have found many family members on Find A Grave and the information has led me to other family members and even more information. I appreciate everyone who adds headstone photos, pictures of individuals and bio information to the Find A Grave site.

I also ask you not to duplicate headstone photos. Thank you!

Please use the EDIT tab to request changes to memorials.

You may contact me if you have any questions about any of my entries or if you want someone transferred to you. Most of mine are family, but some are not. I will be more than happy to transfer any of those that are not.

Images of People - I DO NOT give permission for any of them to be used without first contacting me.
HEADSTONES - You have permission to use any of mine for your private use. However, I would appreciate credit for the photo, if you do use it. NO "for profit" use please.

I live in southern California.

I also have a blog where I share tips and ways to improve your research. You can visit my blog at

RE: New rules
Thanks for taking my message in the spirit it was intended. I got two scathing responses, one from someone who bragged about reporting me to admins. A lot of people don't follow the changes as they happen so I thought I would mention it to a few. Won't make that mistake again.

New rules
Hi. I see you are not a fan of allowing others to republish some of your photos. Just a heads up about Find A Grave’s new rules about that. "Our Terms of Service allow photos posted to Find A Grave to be shared amongst the Ancestry Community. As a result, you can post photos you found on Find A Grave to your Find A Grave memorials or on other Ancestry Community websites. We recommend that you provide attribution to the user who originally posted the photo before reposting it anywhere." You don't have a choice.

RE: Kings in Aberdeenshire
Thanks, Dianne.

I'm sure plenty of people will find your Aboyne records most helpful. I'll add some info on the rest of the family even though I haven't found graves for any of them so far.

Plenty more research to do!

Best wishes

RE: Re: James Hunter
As far as I know, the location of the infirmary cemetery is not known. But my information is several years old, so you could ask the county genealogical society. They're located in the public library in Zanesville. The entries I created are from the microfiche death register in the county probate office, also in Zaneville. I was only able to get about halfway through them (stopping in 1893) in the time I was there.

RE: Kings in Aberdeenshire
Hi Dianne

Many thanks for the message. Jane Christie, wife of John King is my 3rd cousin 3 times removed so not closely related.

I only started following that line very recently and your grave post was very helpful as it filled in details of one of the children too. I have lots of family from the Aboyne area but didn't find any others in the list of people in the graveyard on the site but maybe there are more to come as other people do similar research to you.

I do try to update find-a-grave with as much detail as I can when I find a family member. I particularly like to link children and parents so that other family members who find one link might be able to track extended families by clicking through. I think it's a great feature of the site.

I'd be happy to accept you transferring the Kings to me and I'll try to add details of the other children to the record despite not having found them in any cemetery so far. At least then others can hopefully track them down.

Best wishes

RE: Jacob and Susannah Beverage

Those photos of Jacob and Susannah's tombstones are old ones that I took over 25 years ago. Yes those are copies of the old photos. The last time I was there (2010), I took a couple photos but not of close ups of the stones. I have been in that cemetery twice. It is way back in off the road and the last time we were there, we were taken in on 4 wheelers.

Jacob and Susannah's daughter Mary Margaret Beverage was my gt gt grandmother. Her daughter Virginia E. Townsend married Uriah Beverage. Uriah was the son of Jacob's half brother William Beverage.

Levi Beverage was married three times. first to Clarrisa Waugh, they had two children: Lorenzo and Victoria, Levi then married Nancy Hudson and had the following: Daniel, Charles Wm. Adda, Indiana, Renick, Safrona, Paul Willie, Nelia, George, Lillie and Grace. Then Levi married Martha Gillespi and they had no children together.

There is a stone in the cemetery for Levi and Nancy. Also for Jacob and Susanna and for Earl and Ena Hill Beverage. Other than those three couples, there are many little markers with just initials on them and not all the graves are marked because my gt gt grandmother Mary Margaret Beverage Townsend is buried there with no marker.

send me your email address and I will send you a photo of the cemetery that shows Levi's grave. My email address is Becky

I see where you added his tombstone picture at Aid Cemetery, Are you related to him? Is it ok if I use the picture for my family history?

You're welcome. These are not my relatives, so if you are related to them I'd be glad to transfer them to you.

RE: Mary Bullen headstone
Dear Dianne,

You are ABSOLUTELY welcome to the use of any of my pictures!! I am honored!! People are always taking my personal pictures off of my tree on Ancestry, and I don't know if they give me any credit, but that's OK. I just want 'good quality' pictures available for the generations.
A quick calculation of your husband and my cousinship show we are 9th cousins, once removed.
I have a bunch of photos of Sam and Mary Bullen's headstones. I also have some nice photos of Samuel Morse' towering monument. Samuel Morse would be my 9th GG-Father, and your husband's 10th. If you would like any more photos, even if you just want to have them on file for use of any kind, just drop me an e-mail. My address is
