Learn something each day, and teach something each day ...|
For me, photographing cemeteries has evolved from an interest in genealogy, nature, and a quest for understanding life. I enjoy following the paths of my ancestors, searching for their final resting places. I also enjoy fulfilling photo requests. Finding graves brings a rush that makes the search worthwhile. Photo volunteer work is just a small way of contributing and giving something back to others. Cemeteries are by nature peaceful places, and I enjoy the peace I find while searching. Yet, my favorite cemeteries are those that are filled with activity, either relatives visiting their loved ones, joggers, or people walking their dogs.
Currently Pekin IL is home base (but I love to travel).

Thanks for the fine set of photos, despite what looks like a wet day at Beardstown. C. Finch

May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of Ralph L. Baker (Memorial# 72726177)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.
Thanks for taking the pictures for me. I really appreciate it!

Greg, thanks for the pictures of Albert and Mable's headstone and footstones. My mothers maiden name was Coil but her branch of the Coil clan remained in Missouri where Albert's branch moved to Cass County Illinois.

Thank you so much for all of the headstone photos for Vernon & Louise Avery, Cora Avery, James Avery, Martha Avery, William Yeager, Glen & Velma Hunt, Homer & Fae Schneider, and William LaMaster. I really appreciate you taking time to do this for me.
Thank you very much for the memorial photos you posted for Mettie and her husband. It means a lot to me! Mettie was my great grandmother's sister and my grandmother spoke of her 'Aunt Mettie' often. Thanks again for the great work you are doing. cj
