For me, photographing cemeteries has evolved from an interest in genealogy, nature, and a quest for understanding life. I enjoy following the paths of my ancestors, searching for their final resting places. I also enjoy fulfilling photo requests. Finding graves brings a rush that makes the search worthwhile. Photo volunteer work is just a small way of contributing and giving something back to others. Cemeteries are by nature peaceful places, and I enjoy the peace I find while searching. Yet, my favorite cemeteries are those that are filled with activity, either relatives visiting their loved ones, joggers, or people walking their dogs.

Currently Pekin IL is home base (but I love to travel).

Jacobs Photo
Thank you for taking the time to photograph my ancestor grave marker.

I do have one question. There were two photos, one family marker with the name of Jacobs, and the other individual marker with Ellen's name and dates. Do you remember if there were other individual markers near the large family marker?

Thanks for you help,
