I have been doing family history for over 40 years and I do understand that elation when one finds information about their family. For over 6 years now I have tried to do my share in documenting grave sites in any cemetery that I am near. I hope that my efforts have helped some to actually see the grave site of a family member that they never knew the location of or could never hope to visit. I spend many hours doing the photography and even cleaning up the weed choked sites. Also I go the extra mile and try to find more documentation and information about the person.
It is not my intent to construct an instant family tree for anyone to claim; but, please, do not minimize or negate the time and efforts I put forth. I am always cooperative in making corrections or adding information to a site but prefer not to make transfers except under certain circumstances.

I appreciate your bio and the work you do. I too research the people whose photos I tak and want to share as much info as possible. Do you mind if I use your photo of a Lewis relative taken in Mount Hope Cemetery in Nebraska? Thanks.

O K, we'll leave it as is. I'm relying on info from someone who spoke to a family member. Just wanted you to be aware of the situation.
Thanks for input, Bob

James France # 118962107
Info from # 47854913
Spoke with James France's son James in Cassville, Wisconsin. He told me that when his father died, they completed the stone with his dates, but he is not buried with first wife Serene Meicher. They buried him according to his wishes, in the Milton Cemetery in Rock County, Wisconsin. James' 2nd wife Tilda Lee Banks France died and was buried there last May. Supposedly James France has some kind of military plaque and a France nephew who works with cemeteries mounted it in a cement base. I find that he is not mentioned in the FindAGrave for the Milton Cemetery but that may be because the plaque was added at a later date.
-Stone pictured is not at Milton Cemetery.
Does Serene Meicher have a F.A.G. memorial?
Do you wish to make a cenotaph for this stone in the other cemetery? Let me know what is to be done.

Thank you so much for the picture of the headstone of my Grandfather. Without you I would never be able to see it. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Edit for Burthe Slinde
You sent me an edit for Burthe Slinde asking me to add the middle initial "R" to his memorial. Unfortunately, I had to decline the edit because there was not a period after the "R." Per Find A Grave faqs, "Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial." I will go ahead and add the middle initial manually.

Thanks for all you do on Find A Grave, Kathy

Mystery
Thanks for checking on Horace Eastman. I've come to the same conclusion that he was married twice.

Brad Prescott
Mystery
Hello Kay,

I've come across two memorials that I believe are the same person with one being in Tucson, AZ and the other being in Anna, IL.

I see Horace G. Eastman #42194717 with nearly identical information for a Horace G. Eastman #42194717.

The dates are essentially identical and the spouse has the same name.

I suspect only a relatively close family member would know the real story.

It's a mystery to me.

Take care
