Bio and Links
Bio Photo First I guess that I should say that I have been doing this for the better part of my life. Almost 55 years.
My early days included clipboard, many hours in the death certificate office and a Kodak 110 camera. I thought I was something when I got my first 35mm, and of coarse my 2 or 3 digital cameras I wore out the first 2.
Well Guess that's enough about me. I could ramble on and on.
Here is a list of my (Find a Grave's) policy on a few things .

We handle transfer requests in accordance with Find A Grave policy as quoted below. Please do not request a transfer unless the request follows those guidelines. Please note that transfers are only required if you are a direct relative within four generations per the Second section below. Below is Find-A-Graves transfer guidelines:

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?

First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Second, Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Third, If you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial management transferred to you. This will send an email request to the contributor, even if there is not an email address listed on their contributor page.

Fourth, Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred.

Fifth, The "Suggest a correction" feature may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above defintion. (Be sure to include the memorial ID#s for the family links and how they are related, father, mother or spouse. The original contributor should make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses, provided the information is accurate.

Sixth, Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.

I always want to be here to help anyone that I can, so if you need anything, please message me.

Please, Please double check your corrections that you would like to have made on memorials. It's hard on all of us when we get 2 or 3 corrections.

Again Thanks

RE: Re: Joan Canning

Her son is also buried there. Wondered if the connection was thru her mother's family.

Re: Joan Canning

Despite guidelines I will do it. I do have a question. Almost all of the folks in that cemetery are related to me - some very directly and others distant. I could never figure out how Joan was connected to the families there. I know her parents are there, but could never make any other connections.

RE: George Jefferson Dew
Thanks so much for the transfer and for your efforts in getting him set up. I was not sure where he was buried. My mother pointed out the general area of the old homeplace but the house was gone by the time I was old enough to remember.

Memorial Images
My name is Douglas C. Johnson (#47683562) and I was wondering if I could have your permission to use your photographs of the graves of Lewis B. Byrd, Lou Della Barbour (maiden name unknown), Absalom Jefferson "App" Barbour, Judson F. Barbour at Rehobeth Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Benson, Johnston County, North Carolina and John Henry Barbour and Amanda "Manda" Barbour (nee Higgins) at Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield, Johnston County, North Carolina on the FamilySearch Family Tree website. I would of course list it with full credit given to you for the use of the image.
Thank You,

George Jefferson Dew
Would you transfer George Jefferson Dew to me. His number is 33512855.

He is my great grandfather, and I would like to update his record and add some links that would be meaningful.

Thanks for your help and for the work you've done with Find A Grave.

RE: Mary E. Benton
Maybe I'm missing something! Click on the "edit" tab (of the memorial I am requesting the additional).

ie - Relationship (parent and spouse links)

Enter the update and click on "edit".

This is sent to the original creator and they make the adjustment. That's the way I read it.
I have made several additionals to other "creators". Or do want it added to the "suggestion" section?

William Vance Bundy City Cemetery, Raliegh, NC
BeeManTim I am confused.... Willaim V Bundy is related to Lou Alice Bundy and James Winford Bundy (my Grandmothers 2nd Husband). I have copies of James Winford's death certificate stating that he was to be buried in the City Cemetery in Raliegh, NC. Upon checking Find A Grave, there was only one "Bundy" recorded. That was WV and JW Bundy's mother Lou Alice. I also contcted the City Cemetary it's self and was told that the Cemetemy is not kept up very well and that many records were missing along with head stone damage from a storm that came through a few years ago.

Since your information sites William Vance Bundy being buried in City Cemetery, do you possibly have a local were Winford is buried in The City Cemetery? How is it possible that so many recoreds being lost for one Cemtery? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you,

Charles Lee
