Bio and Links
Please do not use my personal photos or the bios on my memorials unless you ask first. I've researched and written all the information included on these memorials, some information is not included on any document found at Ancestry.
Copy and pasting is not researching!

I've been researching my family genealogy for over 20 years and love doing it.
Most of the memorials I've added are family.
I've also added some Scotland's Comonwealth War Dead, my interest stems from a great uncle that died in WWI. I found his record in the CWGC.

Transfer gladly done if they're not my family. Or will add any info or links you may have. If anyone has any corrections or info to add on any of my memorials, I'd also be happy to add it, if it is sourced.

If you are also searching these surnames I'd love to hear from you. I'm always willing to share factual information.

Find a Grave community Day.
This may be of interest to you.
Find a Grave Community Day - Forwarded to you From CypressGreen:
I follow them on FB and for Find A Grave Community Day some people will be going to Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio and others across the US to meet and photograph!
The idea is to get as many gravers as possible in the US (or abroad!) to fill outstanding photo requests, take photos for new entries, and meet others in their area.
I have you on my 'friends list' as a Cleveland area peep, so I wanted you to know. There are already 3 of us signed up.

RE: Mary Foreman McCaslin
Isabella Foreman and her husband Sam Mitchell are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in New Castle, Pa. Section 1 lot 275 and 276 Location 3rd N.W. corner. When I visited this plot 3 years ago the ground had sunken in and the stones collapsed facing each other, so no information can be seen. I have called the cemetery and left messages, but as usual no one returns my calls.

RE: Mary Foreman McCaslin
Jill, thank you for your info. I do not know who Isabella's parents are so I am stuck. I will save your information in case I find a clue.

Nice memorials. I have added the Headstones to your memorials. I happened to record them while capturing a few rows in a section late last year.

RE: G. W. Edgeler - 75443801
Yes the British date readings - day, month, year. Date of birth was noted on the discharge document from the Merchant Marine. He was a Messman.

Edgeler/Howland marriage is volume 4a, page 2201. First quarter of 1940. Gladys M. Howland. Click on the page number and up comes the name of the spouse.

Merchant Marine doc must have been from a different site - Find My Past? Can't remember now. I should have downloaded it but didn't. Anyway that's all I had so I thought you'd better know.

Signaler. 92nd. Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, Signals Section.

All the best,

John Francis Burns, Jr.
Hi, Jill,

I was pleased to find your research on the Burns family line. John Francis Burns, Jr. is my cousin John Otto Burns' father (his mother is my great-aunt Lenora Grace McConnell). He knows very little about his father's family, as he was just a small boy when his father died. I will point him in the direction of your Burns bios on the Find a Grave website. He will be very interested.

Andrew McCaslin
Hello Jill,

I am writing biographies on the veterans buried in the Middlesex Presbyterian Church Cemetery. On the list of veterans I received from the Veteran Affairs office an "N. McCaslin" is noted. I believe that it is referring to your ancestor, Andrew McCaslin, as his headstone reads "A. McCaslin" and he served in the Revolutionary War. However, I am having trouble locating information on him in order to be able to write a biography on him, specifically evidence of his service. The information in your biography of him was incredibly helpful. However, I was wondering if you could please share your sources with me so I am able to back the information up.

RE: photos
Thanks for your concern. We are only attempting to help preserve history. I suggest you consult a local headstone company and obtain their input.
I would imagine that it would take years of chalking to damage a stone. Have a blessed week.
