I'm totally hooked on Find A Grave. Most of the cemeteries around me have been listed but are outdated so husband & I love to walk the cemetery listing the missed ones. My greatest joy on Find A Grave is researching & connecting love ones to their families|
If you have corrections or additions to any of the memorials I have added, please send them to me by using the Send A Correction form. Please include name along with Find A Grave Memorial number

Thank you for letting me know that you are also related to the Page family. Jewel Dampeer Page was my 3rd cousin 1x removed from my Bishop family. I guess that might make us distant cousins or in-law cousins.

How about linking Eva and W.G.?
Removed a "whole bunch" of duplicates from Union Baptist near Puckett the other day. Seems Find A Grave didn't show but 4 memorials when I did the cemetery but suddenly about 50 showed up from 2009. Gotta love computers!

Hi. David Buffkin is my double great-grandfather. I found it difficult to find him on Find-A-Grave because you had the given name as "William". That is incorrect. I've been researching this man for the better part of 40 years and have found records of his time in the Mississippi State Legislature, state and federal census records, as well as numerous family documents (including two family bibles) and have never seen the name William associated with him. Where did you find it? Also, I see that his first-born son (my great-grandfather) is not listed in the names of his children. His name was Everett F. Buffkin. I understand that the Copiah County Buffkins now use only one "F" when spelling our name but our line (David, Everett, David, Dewitt and down to me) have always used the double "F."
Thanks for posting the excellent picture of David's headstone.
