|Howard Randolph Jr||Philip Fitz Randolph|
My direct ancestor Philip Fitz Randolph husband of Susannah Gray and father of Rhodes Randolph died February 7, 1861 in Orange Township, Shelby County, Ohio.
I believe his father was James Fitz Randolph whom was born in 1740, married to Mary Moore in 1765 and Died (?) in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.
As Ohio doesn't maintain death records until after 1867 I have ran into difficulty making the direct connection. This is necessary for an application to the Sons of the American Revolution.
Are you aware of any Cemetery records or possible church records?
Howard William Randolph, Jr.

Please make a correction as to his rank. He was a Private in Co H as shown in the "Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio, War of the Rebellion 1861-1865, Vol 11" and the 1890 census of Union Soldiers and widows https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-16942-20357-13?cc=1877095

Thank you for letting me know!

Thank you so much for the headstone photo!

I wanted to thank you for all of the time you put into photographing cemeteries. There are so many family members of mine that you have photographed that helps me as I live in Louisiana. I did make a trip this past week to Ohio and took a few photos of family members that did not have photos on your listed memorials. I have added those photos. With such a short trip, your pictures have saved me much time and money.
Again, thank you for all of your time and effort. It is greatly appreciated.

|timothy smith||Lafayette B. Smith jr|
Hi my name is Tim Smith and Lafayette jr was one of my uncles. Jr is a half brother to all the other smith children of Lafayette sr. Because of this my side of jr's family doesn't know alot of information.
Do you recall how and why you would have put together the info you have here on find-a-grave for him.
Do you have anymore photo's and does anyone know what has happen with his ashes, is there a marker anywhere?
Thanks for your help!

After looking again, the original photo is actually better because it's nicely centered and shows the complete stone. (Wishing there was an edit/delete option on these public messages!)

While looking for a Jacob Shafer, I noticed that the stone photo posted on #11486495 doesn't match the "7 months" description. (Your photo goes with Jacob Shafer #11485855 which already has one, but yours is clearer. Perhaps the original creator will swap hers out for yours.)
