I learned of Find-A-Grave during September 2009 while searching a cemetery in Decatur, AL. I believe this to be a great tool for those of us working genealogy. |
I have lived in the Nashville, TN area over sixty years. I sold cameras, photo paper, chemicals and film for five years, part time on weekends, during the 1960's, and have a love for the process of photography, film or digital. My other hobbies are the computer, Bluegrass music and toy (model) trains.
Any error you may detect in my postings, please advise me and I will gladly correct. Also, if you are a near relative and wish, I will transfer management to you per Find-A-Grave policy.

Bill, the Vet IV garden is easy to walk, so I took a stroll today. Sad to report I don't find a marker grave for him. You might contact Restland and verify if its even marker. i did not claim your request or report a problem at this time.
Hello Bill. Is it possible you could contact Restland and pin down the plot in Garden of Vets IV? As a relative they will treat you better than if I called. They are not treating Find A Grave volunteers very nice for some reason. Restland has over 23,000 graves.
Let me know if you can get info and I'll take your photo for you.
The information on John Hoover came from his obit that was in the newspaper in my fathers scrapbook- I will send you a copy of that if you would like me too. If your relatives are buried in Rawlins cemetery we must be related because I would say that about 70-80% of those pioneers that are buried there are my relatives.

Is William Bicie Pippin's parents Sidney Pippin and Mary Ann Rebecca Dennson Pippin buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee? I have not put entered them in that cemetery because I am not sure if they are buried there. Sheryn

Dear Bill, Thanks for locating and submitting a photograph of the grave of Pvt. Peter Oglesby Dinsmore to the Find A Grave website. I may never see the grave in person, but, Thanks to You, any interested parties like myself can now see a photograph of his tombstone. Thanks for taking the time to search this grave out. Sincerely, Baxter
