Two of my favorite genealogy quotes are -
"Genealogy is not just a pastime; it's a passion." ~Mary Harrell-Sesniak~

"The best part about Genealogy is searching for ancestors and finding friends!"

If we have genealogical connections to the same memorial, I would be happy to exchange additional information.

My family surnames are: Hale with roots from Lewis Hale & Mary Burwell of Grayson Co., VA; Kincer with roots from Christopher Kincer & Nancy Kinser of Wythe Co., VA; Huddle with roots from Joseph Crockett Huddle
& Caroline Horne of Wythe Co., VA; Sult with roots from Stephen Wilkerson Sult & Mary "Mollie" Clark of Wythe Co., VA. Other family names are: James, Bell and Arney

My husband's family surnames are: Sheppard
with roots from George Sheppard & Elizabeth Harless of Montgomery Co., VA; Jones with roots from Winburn Othanile Jones & Fannie Lee Sheppard of Roanoke Co., VA; Furrow with roots from Washington Edward Furrow & Julia Ann Boothe of Roanoke Co., VA. Other family names are: Long, Linkous and Anderson.

I would be pleased if you would take a look at my parent's memorials and leave flowers -
Lee Hale and Louise Hale

If I have made any errors in any of my memorials, please let me know via the Suggest a Correction feature so I can correct them. Memorials are about remembering those who have passed away and doing the best we can at being accurate.

RE: Bond Family memorials
Sorry it has taken me so long Sue. We are living in very rural area and satellite internet has not proven to be a friend... Has really taken away from the family history I loved so much!!

Hi! Its simply for ease. When comparing my Virtual cemetery to my genealogy program, they are out of alph spelled that way and it takes me longer to reconcile. Since the parents spelled it with two nn's I thought it would make it more consistent. But no big deal if you want to leave it the way it is. I have no proof either way.

RE: Magdalena Mary Earhart #92781601
Rufus Morgan and Theresa Earhart Wampler would been my great-great-grandparents. So I researched some of her family as well and happened to have Magdalena Mary's name to share. Glad I could help you out with that information!

Yes, I have ties to the Steffy/Steffey family. Also the Phillipe/Phillipi branch. The Steffy/Steffey mainly shows up in the paternal side of my family tree research. Rufus Morgan descends from Hans George Wampler and Elizabeth Steffey.

cora dell surface
Cora Dell(DeHart) Surface was my great aunt and I seen you recorded her grave on here. she is in the hurst cemetery but you have no date of death. I was wondering if there wasn't a date on the marker, They should have already put the date on her headstone cause she passed away in 2013. she was married to Jessie Surface at the time of his passing. her findagrave number is 141578235 she was the daughter of Austin DeHart 141353530 and Laura 59354974. she was the brother of James DeHart 141809432.
