RE: Jack Dugan
Hi Richard, Jack is my fathers biological father. A few years ago I had another of Jacks daughters submit a dna test and it was 99 percent that we were related. That and looking at photos of his other sons, I know where he got his looks from. Jack isn't from the Fenner line. That was my fathers mother side. Thank you for your work on Find A Grave. Total mis-speak on my part. It apparently was too late at night!

RE: Ira Blanchard and Lucinda ?????
I'm sorry I don't know what prompted this message. I do not recall a request of that sort?

RE: Lucinda ?????
No I do not have a way to look at the record, I can only go to the local LDS library and look at the film when I get some time. I know some missionaries here because I have an LDS work acquaintance.

(Of course you know that some children can also possibly be born out of wedlock, and there are instances of this in every line)

In looking for a logical explanation for the land going to Russell, it's either that or his wife Lucinda was somehow related to the Fenners. I wish they had been able to do DNA on the remains but I imagine the conditions were not amenable to that. The one that was buried below him was not able to be determined but I'm willing the bet it might have been his wife.

RE: Blanchard Cemetery JN078
Amanda's name wasn't really Patt, it was Basseett.

Ann A married Schubael Bassett and had 6 Basset children before he died in 1846 or so. She then married (or cohabited for a short time) Alfred Patt and perhaps he adopted the children, but they lived separately. Alfred Patt (1816-1885).

The Bassett children were
1. Henry Lafayette 1828-1902
2. Betsey Ann (1832-1895)
married William Fenner son of Stephen.
3. Schubael Young (1833-1857)
married Mary Arnold Eddy and Elnora Frances (Bassett) King of the cemetery (with daughter Gracie) is their daughter. Mary Arnold Eddy remarried to Abel White Willey and Elnora wen tot live with the Fenners and Blanchards.
4. Hannah Elnora (1835)
5. Amanda A (1843-1874)
married Albert Sprague Fenner son of Stephen
6. Mary E (1845)

RE: Ira Blanchard and Lucinda ?????
I studied the report and copious other materials including the census. Ira was the one that always stayed on the Fenner Property. I would love to see Lucinda's death record. I am 99% sure she is a daughter of Governor James Fenner, which would explain the land being titled to Russell Blanchard.

So far I have 6 children for the Governor and 9 for his son Stephen.

RE: Ira Blanchard and Lucinda ?????
Yes, Ira and Lucinda were married, their children were Amy J married Laban F Waterman and Mary E married Thomas Angell.

I read Russell's Revolutionary War pension. In it he gives his exact birth date by saying he will be 88 on March 30th, 1852. Also that he was a substitute for his father Benjamin.

I traced it back as Russell, Benjamin, Benjamin, Richard, through Arnold's Vitals for Warwick. It is not clear who his mother was as he was born before both of Benjamin's recorded marriages to Fear Sweet and Rachel Warner.

The death records for Russell's 2 sons say father Russell mother Lucinda. Joseph, Alpheus and Ira were his sons.

Alpheus married Phebe Remington and it is likely they are the two disinterred in the report as it is on the record that they were later moved to Swan Point.

Fenner Memorial
I'm not related to the Fenner's. I noticed your edit for Christopher Fenner. Are you related and if so would you like a transfer? I don't mind if you're related.

I visited Plot 114. It's a large plot with lots of empty space and one mausoleum built into a hill. There is no wording on the Mausoleum. No wording visible inside, although the floor is covered with leaves. I'm fairly convinced that this is the Williams memorial. Sorry there is no text visible. There might be text under the leaves, but I'd have to bring a long-handled broom and sweep the inside of the mausoleum. I'm not sure if that would be allowed, Swan Point is pretty strict.
