Troy Cemetery
I found an entry from you for the Troy Cemetery in Bell County, Texas. The entry was for Barnhouse, E.D.. Find A Grave Memorial# 70698201

I am on the Cemetery Committee of the Bell County Historical Commission. We carry over 180 cemeteries in the county. We have not identified a cemetery called “Troy.” We do have an Old Troy Cemetery which I have inventoried and the name above does not appear to be in that cemetery. I have an inventory of over 50.000 burials in Bell County and can not find the name above in my inventory or in any of the cemeteries in and around Troy, Texas. Cemeteries close to Troy are Old Troy, Shiloh, Lewallan, Pendleton, Roberts, and Pleasant View.

So, I guess the question is, what information do you have about this person that I might help you with to locate where he is buried?

We are going to put a work crew at the Old Troy cemetery in the next month or two. Maybe with a more thorough cleaning we will locate some graves and tombstones that we had not found previously.

I’m willing to help in any way. I will also be communicating with 4 other folks who have placed 7 other names at the “Troy” cemetery to see if we can get some clarification of where they might be buried. Who knows, maybe through this communication we’ll even find a new cemetery that we don’t currently have in our inventory.

Thanks,

Joe Button

Thanks again for your service and the picture of their Headstone.

God bless you. I live in NC now instead of Texas and can't go to these graves of my loved ones. Thank you once again!
