My maternal side of the family has been researched, traced back to England, and published. My paternal side has, to my knowledge, never been documented. As a matter of fact, we were always told the "records were lost". Since genealogy is apparently in my blood, I decided to embark on the journey to discover the true history of the family I really never knew too well. I am researching the following surnames in Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Tennessee...so far...: Marshall, Belt, Russell, Bolt, and Bell. I hope to preserve this heritage for my two wonderful children Michael James Wellman and Ariel Raquel Wellman.|

Hannah Indiana Best Marshall was my maternal Great Grandmother. About two weeks ago, I attempted to send email to you, but no reply. Thanks.
Are you related to Austin & Nettie Marshall? His ancestors came from Hancock County, Oh. My husband is a descendant of both Marshalls and Nonnamakers, some of whom went to Nebraska from here (Hancock County).

Isn't it fun trying to find out??? I love this stuff!!
|bluejayln||Ralph O Marshall|
Hi Charlotte, I noticed your message on Ralph's memorial. Are you related to him? My husband's family are related to him by marriage. Just curious.
|Robert Marshall||Marshall Surname|
My name is Robert C. Marshall of Austin, TX. I saw your name when I looked up my father's grave in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. He was Clarence Marshall (Feb. 20, 1916 - April, 1979).
I was born in Denver in 1939 and raised there. My grandfather was Robert Charles Marshall who lived on South Jackson Street, just off South Colorado Boulevard. His history traced back to Robert Marshall (1763 - 1837) of King George County, Virginia, and he was a revolutionary war soldier. Some of the families that are important in the genealogy are: Ballenger, Ferguson, Markham, Mardis, Klette, etc.
I have been doing genealogy for about ten years. My Marshall name is not easy to trace, but I've done fairly well with it. I'm pretty confident about my background back to Robert (1763) and generations just preceding him. I was able to get it that far back only because of bits of personal information I obtained from my grandfather before he died in 1967, and annotated photos my grandmother left when she died in 1978. If you see anything that rings a bell, above, you can reach me at email@example.com .
