Bio and Links
Bio Photo "Show me the manner in which a nation cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender mercies of its people, their respect for the laws of the land and their loyalty to high ideals."
Sir William Gladstone

As descendants of ancestors who endured the hardships to tame and settle this country, we have an obligation to see that those who came before us are remembered appropriately.

My goal in Find-A-Grave is to create the best memorials I can create for the people I am honoring. I add as many people as I possibly can to Find-A-Grave and then, as time permits, I do what I can to link them with their relatives and I also add an obituary or write as much of a biography as I can based on available records and information.

I welcome your reviews of the memorials I have posted, and I welcome any information you might provide to help create the best memorials we can possibly create. Every memorial that I have is a work-in-process.

Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

If you send a request for transfer of a memorial, please explain exactly how you descend, generation-by-generation, from that person. Thanks.

You are certainly welcome. It was an unplanned trip to Tulsa. We were passing through an adjacent county and remembered some distant relatives here in Antlers.

RE: E. D. Simmons
Yes, I am almost sure that this tombstone was in the stated plot. I might have to go look to be completely sure. However, the write up states that he lived in Durant for 50 years, if he died in 1915, this would not be possible. His wife Margrett Simmons (36198429) died Apr 4, 1933 and her write up states that she is survived by her husband. His father Powhattan Simmons (11035327)
has Edward listed as 1847-1947 in his write up.

Ella Young
Thanks for letting me know your status. I have created a memorial for Etta Thackston Young and added the documentation to show my sources for this family. I am still hunting for something about Ella Boulton/Bolton Young other than the marriage source and the source that Lewis is Ella and Robert's son. Hopefully between the two of us, we can piece this puzzle together.

They are 2nd great grandparents. I added some photos to their pages. 1 of which is a picture of the gravestone even though you had one. I added it because our picture had flowers for the stone. If you feel it's too redundant please feel free to delete it.

Hello I haven't had a chance to go out to rose hill cemetery as I am under the weather, But I did get information on her plot location in case you want to add it to your request. They said it was Garden of Love Lot 430 Space 7
