Growing up my parents took us to cemetaries all the time, nothing scary about it. Today I enjoy taking my grandchildren to historic cemetaries as well as "visiting the relatives" as we call it on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I love to tell them which one they "take after" or "look like" as well as memories and stories handed down from generation to generation. As a writer and photograper, I am glad to participate in 'Find a Grave' and hopefully help others that maybe looking for ancestor information or their resting places.|
Living in the Lowcountry of South Carolina there are so many historic cemetaries as well as those forgotten slave cemetaries that need to be accounted for..hopefully working together it will happen.

Thank you for trying.
What I really want is two things, a better picture of the house, and information on who all is in that very OLD cemetery.
The Sheriff may be able to give you access to the cemetery. People are not supposed to lock you out, and they are supposed to take good care of the cemetery.
I was told it was a former governor's son who
is there now, or something like that.
Maybe you could leave him a very nice note in his
mailbox, abt wanting to photograph his wonderful
out historic cemetery, and asking for an appointment.
Tell him that the niece of the former Tucker owners wants the pictures !!!
That is me.
The Tucker's ashes were scattered there, by a
son who flew over the cemetery with his plane,
I believe. It is really the tombstones, in general, there, which I want pictures of. And the HOUSE!!
I have asked the Tucker son to help, but he is getting up there in years, and doesn't leave Myrtle Beach much these days.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give,

I am not a relative but I loved Calvin like one. We use to sit around and Calvin would play his guitar and Charlie Brutch would play his mandolin . My ex-husband and Calvin were close. I miss him.

You said you didn't have Teddy's parents names, What I have listed (not that it is necessarily true) Is Job Marion and Elizabeth Gaillard
|J Martin Graham||Charlotte|
If you can make it back out there..it sure would be wonderful. Perhaps if you did a paper and chalk etching and transcribed that it may show more... The way I read it..it could rewrite history!! Also...Theodore Samuel Marion's headstone picture online only shows the top half..it would be nice if the whole picture was available to everyone. It appears that his tombstone has fallen and broken...but, is actually more readable than Charlotte's.
Thanks again for all your help..it is really extremely appreciated!!

When you took this pic for me...did you happen to transcribe it? to me it appears to say
wife of Theodore Samuel Marion
departed this life
14th day of (?) 1804
married 32 years
I know I have to be reading it wrong

Thank you for taking this pic for me :)
|Barbara Milligan Rowe Elliott||Re: Lloyd Ackerman-|
Thank you so much for taking the photo of Lloyd Horace Ackerman. Would you be so kind as to add the same photo to that of his wife: Ozie Gertrude Lambert Ackerman? Her Find A Grave memorial number is 40710337. The headstone has both their names. Thanks again
