Bio Photo Hello,

I am the genealogist for my family, and took on this role after being laid up with surgery back in 2000. Since then I have enjoyed continually researching and building my family tree. It's really been more of a passion and obsession all rolled into one! :)

I am currently only a member with no contributions of my own, but will shortly be taking on management of some of my family's memorials. The surnames I research are as follows:

If you have any questions on any of those surnames please send me a message and I will do my best to get you an answer.

Datha Mae (Friend) Mansfield

I added a memorial and a photo for Datha Mae (Friend) Mansfield 109659953 in the North Mount Zion Cemetery in Putnam County, Ohio.

Next to Rolland and Datha is a monument for H. Clifford 109660025 and Mary Gae Brown 109660044. This monument is similar in style to Rolland and Datha. I thought they may be related.

Best regards,

Ottawa, Ohio

RE: directions
Anyone can add a memorial. Just click on the add burial records on left side of screen. then once the record is added, there will be a button on the right side of the memorial where you can request a picture of the tombstone. That request will be e-mailed to people in the area. If you have a list of people in North Mt Zion, you can just e-mail it to me and I can take them for you. A nice sunday afternoon project :)
Sometimes, I just go to cemeteries, take pictures and create the memorials. Or sometimes (especially in the winter) I just use cemetery records and create memorials and then take pictures later (or sometimes I don't get the pictures taken)
As you say, it can become an obsession! But it keeps me out of trouble (most of the time) and I am happy when someone "finds" a long lost relative whose memorial I have posted.

If you go to discussion forums, there is a frequently asked questions sections which may have some directions (but a lot of time, it is just faster to ask someone).
Good luck

RE: Transfers
You can only link one way:adding parents to child's memorial) here is how: on the child's memorial which you have created or are in charge of, it will say family links. You click on that and add memorial # of each parent.

If you know the parent and someone else is in charge of child's memorial, you can click the edit button (on upper right of memorial) and send a message to owner asking them to add parent's #. Most are happy to oblige.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask other questions, it is kind of a learn by doing.
